Cricket Wishlist - Submit your ideas...

Currently in development is EA Sports Cricket 2006 and Brian Lara International Cricket. Either these games would be great if both a Playstation 2 version and PC version were patchable (pardon the termanology!). e.g. If your Playstation 2 had a Network Adapter you could find online patches and use them for it as well as PC CD ROM versions. Is this a good idea? Is it a bad idea? Should this idea be ignored? Please post feedback on my suggestion. If implemented, these games would be of a distinct new generation. :hpraise

maybe they could make some kind of highlights similair to the ones in FIFA that could be playing in the background when you pause

It has always been one of my long term dreams to be able to play the Twenty-Twenty Cup in a Cricket Game. They have announced that this will happen in Cricket 2005. I just hope that they implement it accurately. :upray

Good point, I can't see why this could not happen.

Good ideas is for the next EA cricket game to have,

1. Highlights to include drops, chances, sixes, fours and wickets
2. EA! Give it a rest! Graphics are fine!
3. Ground shots should go further.
4. Varying shots depending on skill of batsman and length of delivery.
When you make a player you should rate execution of each shot.
5. Wide deliveries must be easy to hit.
6. When bowling the odd delivery must be random and most probably easy to hit.
7. Shots; Front foot;
Straight drive from BLIC
On drive from BLC 98
Leg glance from any EA cricket game
Sweep from any EA cricket game
Late cut from, i dont care.
Side slash from EA cricket 2005
Cover drive from EA cricket 2005

Back foot;
Straght drive from Cricket 2005 (but easier to time)
On drive from Cricket 2005 (but easier to time)
Leg Glance from Cricket 2005
Hooks from BLIC
Late cut from Cricket 2002
Off drive from Cricket 2005
Cut from Cricket 2004
Cover drive from Cricket 2002

8. The bowling in both cricket games are excellent.

I believe that this is a competent list...could someone agree or disagree and if someone has the connections send this entire list to EA and Codemasters.

I would just be happy with a game that is realistic without **** loads of bugs.

Have analysis after every five overs, like Channel 4's Simon Hughes.

Make the light deteriate during a day in a test match.

Use all of the domestic competitions from all of the test match countries.

Use the Channel 4 TV Graphics- after this year, there will be no more cricket on Channel 4. The licence will be cheaper!

cricket 2006 should include Evolution..for eg a guy like Giles is an ordinary batsman, suppose he scores 2 or 3 centuries his overall ability should improve.his straight driving ability, cut shot etc should improve.in other words he should evolve as a batsman..the same goes to players who dont bowl much

the game should also include cricket seasons just like in ICC series..a player should retire after a few years and new generation of players should replace them

- There needs to be a lot more stadiums. I was dissapointed in the amount of stadiums on Cricket 2005. At least every test ground in the world. Perhaps even like on LMA the chance to upgrade stadiums in career mode.

- You should be able to make transfers on careers.(realistic ones)

- Ireland and Bermuda so you can play the World Cup a year early.

- More offical licenses if possible

- More domestic sides, Indian, New Zealand, South African, West Indian, Pakistani seasons. A World Club Championship?

- Edit mode, like on PES

There are a lot of good ideas, but we need to mail these in the next few months as they will be in the process of starting to make the game or drawing up ideas. If this is to be a yearly series, it will come out in the English summer. While obviously not of these ideas can be incorporated, we want to mail them in the next few months so they can incorporate it into the game before its too late

and chose what offical umpire u want for this match , etc, :)

also cricket seasons should be incorporated jus like in ICC 2005

what im looking for in Cricket is custom made commentary brining in your own commentary or getting it from the 12th man. Still have richie in there yhough
