In the short term the config editor and the updated list.txt can be used to make fields which can be posted here for everyone else to use. In the long term a field editor will make it much easier for people to edit.

Well like I said it requires someone to make it and I don't have the expertise. For the moment just edit them manually.

Excellent work guys.

Finally we will see the CPU bowl with slips in one-day matches .

Also, since we can identify each field for a specific bowling type. Are we going to have some sort of survey as to what fielding positions people would like to see in the "new" fields?

keep up the good work

Further to the excellent work already done by Colin,Prakash and Sam, I've started a list of the StartXZ values and their corresponding field postions, to help ppl when making their own fields. I'm pretty sure they're OK so far; more to follow :) ...

StartXZ 0.280000 2.419986 slip 1
StartXZ 0.500000 2.314997 slip 2
StartXZ 0.759999 0.094999 short extra cover
StartXZ 0.820000 -1.889998 mid off
StartXZ 0.974978 -1.899971 mid off
StartXZ -5.474967 4.580007 deep fine leg
StartXZ -6.524977 2.734992 deep backward sq leg
StartXZ -0.245000 0.874999 backward sq leg
StartXZ -2.184996 1.289999 short sq leg
StartXZ 1.279999 1.859999 gulley
StartXZ 2.229992 0.615000 point
StartXZ 2.049994 1.449999 backward point
StartXZ 6.549963 2.735010 wide 3rd man/ deep backward point
StartXZ -0.880000 -1.859999 mid on
StartXZ -2.199964 0.814987 square leg
StartXZ 1.869998 -0.605000 cover
StartXZ 6.499975 -2.799997 deep extra cover??
StartXZ 6.909981 -0.834998 deep cover/sweeper

These have enabled me to amend the default 'open 1' field settings in an odi to

using these cfg's (copy/paste into 'FAST ODI Open 1' using cfg editor and Colin's new list file)

Cheers Jonah, saved me doing what I was going to do today. Remember you can release an updated fields patch which is importable with GI2.2 and easier to install for most people.

That's way beyond my capabilities I'm afraid, but hopefully one of the talented modders here will soon, coz I agree, it would make things easier and quicker :) .

Also beyond my capabilities...
Prakash has said he will have a go once he finishes the Player Editor but, contrary to appearances, the guy is only human...
