Zimbabwe proved they were a international team by beating England to a pulp. Williams smashed sixes as soon as he came in and M'Kenyeri was supporting him. These 2 were building a steady partnership. The England cricket team had not picked up a wicket for a while now and were starting to get frustated. Panesar was the only econimic bowler. The batsman were targetting the fast bowlers on this pitch.

The Zimbabwe batsman moved very quickly to make a 100 run partnership. MacWorld was not happy with the performance of the team.

England Vs Zimbabwe 1st ODI​

Zimbabwe continued demolishing the England Bowlers, even Panesar was getting hit around the gorund. These 2 batsman had put on a partnership of over 100 and were on track for a score of 280+. Mkenyeri got his century of 106 balls and S Williams reached his 50 very quicly. England needed to pick up a wicket but nothing came. Zimbabwe moved onto 200 of 35 overs and looked very settled.

panesar to bowls to Mkenyeri, its a good ball outside leg stump, it turns away and the batsman misses it, it slaps him on the pad, HOWZATTT! cries Panesar. the umpire says not out but Hawkeye says different, it wasd just clipping leg stump. A lucky escape for Zimbabwe.

England Vs Zimbabwe 1st ODI

Zimbabwe has looked in control since the start of the game, they won the toss and gave England the ball, it was obvoiusly the right decision. The England bowlers have been looking for a wicket all morning and have got nothing. It was Flintoff that made the major breakthrough dismissing M'kenyeri, Flintoff delivered it at full pace in towards the off stump, Mkenyeri misjudged it completly and was clean bowled. This is a much needed breakthrough for England but is it to late.

M'Kenyeri goes for 119.

The new batsman is T Taibu, he is the captain and will look to lead his team to that high total. Flintoff to bowl, Flintoff comes in at full pace and pitches it just outside off stump swinging it in Taibu Misjudges it completely and the ball strikes him on the pads. No hesitation for the umpire, thats out. Sidebottom gets Williams out next over trying to hit it out of the ground. he gets a thick edge to Cook at slip. Finally England have got the breakthrough they wanted, can they destroy Zimbabwe though.

England Demolish Zimbabwe

Welcome back, Zimbabwe have looked in control throughout this match until recently when they lost 3 quick wickets. M'Kenyeri was the first to go for 119. Williams and taibu followed quickly. Englands Bowling had been terrible but could this confidence booster get them going again. This crowd is definatly excited now, they have just seen 3 wickets and want more.

Flintoff paces in with the crowd behind him, he bowls a absolute blinder it swings in to middle stump totally beating the batsman and trapping him LBW. Zimbabwe have lost 4 wickets in 3 overs. The fans are going wild as the batsman stares at the umpire in disbelief. Its Sidebottom next who gets an edge straight to cook. a easy catch well taken. Zimbabwe in trouble now at 230-6.

the lower order rescue Zimbabwe moving them past 250 but none of them can survive the now lethal bowling attack, the crowd goes wild as wickets tumble. All the batsman are eventually dismissed with 1 ball remaining for 280 leaving England a mammouth target. their bowling performance in the depth is something to be proud of.

England celebrate their bowling but MacWorld is not happy as the opposition still got a big total. England are confident they can chase down the total quickly.
