England in Ireland

Harmison atm is as accurate as a American bomber pilot.

:laugh

He just got another wicket a few minutes ago, McCallan gone for 24. Hopefully he can get back in rythm for the Sri Lanka series.

England is nearing towards a big victory. I hope Ireland makes some runs though, since matches like these are included in ICC records and just ruin the records between the Test nations.

Ireland have made a good fist of it and fielded brilliantly, alot better than we are atm.

Give them a few more years in the C&G and with the world cup of course, and in a few years they could be a good team.

Damn it's good to watch cricket without ridiculous amounts of adverts!

My sentiments exactly! What was Tresco's innings like? I missed it because of school, will have to watch it later at 10:30.

Ireland is having a bit respectable defeat. The lower order ensured that.

England wins with 38 runs. A good thing they ensured they weren't bowled out.

And thanks for the vCash, Ireland. I think I am for the first time above the 20.000 vCash. :happy

I can't believe I have just seen England fail to dismiss a tail again!! I just hope Vaas is injured for the ODI's against Sri Lanka. Cricinfo was way too harsh on Ian Bell, he just proved that he should be in this ODI squad, in his last 3 ODI's he has played a good, cementing innings.

Ireland will take a lot of heart from this match. England could well have been saved by Middlesex and Kent, as if they'd have released Eoin Morgan and Niall O'Brien, the result could well have gone the way of the Irish.

As well as enjoying the lack of adverts, it was great to hear the old BBC cricket theme again, instead of the crappy Channel 4 and Sky ones.

I thought Ireland played pretty well, although England were poor. Especially in their bowling and fielding. But then its good to win, even when you are not at your best. Now on to the main games, and it is important England fix their pathetic one day record. England's record against Sri Lanka in ODIs in England is pretty good, and a good performance in this series is hence expected.

BBC's messageboard stated Ireland as a pedestrian side. I disagree. They are a decent outfit although the lack of experience clearly showed today. Still a good performance ahead of the World Cup next year.

I think if Ireland had a genuine strike bowler then they could cause a few problems to the good sides, today all of there wickets were a combination of attacking shots and good catching. Not to take anything away from Ireland though, they played well.

Eh?

I don't remember hearing that online?

England were poor but remember Sri Lanka lost their last 2 tour games on batting paradises.

I watched it at school, BBC were live streaming it. Anyway the innings was a very good knock, he used his head well.
