It would be very poor for England to lose from here but a couple of wickets would really put the shivers up them, especially if Prior goes.
Loving your style of presentation, I must be lazy because I'd far rather browse through some graphics and get an idea of how things are going :D

Yeah, pretty much the expected result. Indians didn't have the bowlers really to take the wickets, surprise they managed seven still.

That's a good win for the English, but India fought pretty well towards the end. The English didn't need someone to make a big score for them to win the match. Shah and Lumb only made the 20's and that was enough to win them the match.

Great update there, loving your work mate. Keep up the good work

Chasing 145 was never going to be tough for England. Hoping for a better performance from the Indian batsman's in the last odi of the series.

England combat the weather to take series to decider

Sixth Natwest ODI, The Oval:
England 139/7 (25.2 overs) beat India 138/4 (35 overs) by 3 wickets (D/L Method)

Match Scorecard
__________________________________________________

England rallied from two straight defeats to level the series at 3-3, forcing the series into a decider
at Lord's on Saturday.

Rain threatened to force an abandonment at the start of play but it only resulted in reducing both innings'
to 35 overs each. India lumbered to 138/4, the pitch making a nuisance of itself despite the lack of wickets.
In reply, the hosts found scoring a lot easier, and despite the loss of 7 wickets, came home with just under
10 overs to spare.

Rahul Dravid top scored for India with a slowly crafted 44* from 74 deliveries. Ganguly looked out of sorts on
his return to the side following suspension, scoring at a strike rate of 34.69 for his 17.

Tremlett, Flintoff, Panesar and Collingwood took a wicket each in a bowling performance of the highest quality.
Panesar was the most economic of the five bowlers used, conceding just 18 runs from his 7 overs.

Michael Lumb hit 23 at the top of the innings to get England on there way, and despite not one big score from
the English batsmen, they cruised home with Prior hitting the winning runs.

The only English batsman that failed to make it into double figures was Kevin Pietersen. He departed for just 2,
nicking one behind to MS Dhoni off the bowling of Irfan Pathan. Pathan looked dangerous, but the rest of
the bowling attack failed to impress. Dravid decided to use Robin Uthappa and Sachin Tendulkar, both part-time
bowlers, ahead of the impressive spinners Piyush Chawla and Ramesh Powar.

Neither side has been ahead in the series by more than one game setting up an ideal situation in the final match
at Lord's.

Something went wrong in game and made me think I was chasing 145 to win, not 139. Just ignore that slight discrepancy.

This deciding match should be a ripper. I am defiantly looking forward to it. Pietersen needs to play a big role in this match, he has been disapointing so far, and he won't want to let his country down like he has done all series.

Well he's averaging 38 for the series but he's certainly failed in the last two ODI's. Hoping for a cracker of a game to end the series. Thanks for the comments Roo.

England v India, 7th ODI, Lord's
Harbhajan returns for final game

The Preview by Siddhartha Vaidyanathan at Lord's
September 7, 2007

After a Summer of excitement it comes down to the final match of the series to decide who will lift the NatWest trophy. England have held the advantage on two occasions during the series only to see India take the lead with two games to go. Following England's three wicket win at The Oval the teams head to Lord's for the decider.

England are expected to go unchanged after their win on Wednesday, hoping for another fine performance from their quartet of Flintoff, Tremlett, Anderson and Panesar.

There will be changes in the Indian team as Harbhajan Singh returns following his suspension, a game later than batsman Sourav Ganguly. He is expected to replace Piyush Chawla who surprisingly did not feature at all with the ball in the previous match.

Thankfully the rain is expected to stay away following a turn around in weather since Wednesday's affected game, leaving supporters with an exciting prospect of a full game.

England (Likely) 1 Michael Lumb, 2 Luke Wright, 3 Ian Bell, 4 Kevin Pietersen, 5 Owais Shah, 6 Paul Collingwood (capt), 7 Matt Prior (wk), 8 Andrew Flintoff, 9 James Anderson, 10 Chris Tremlett, 11 Monty Panesar.

India (Likely) 1 Robin Uthappa, 2 Sachin Tendulkar, 3 Sourav Ganguly, 4 Rahul Dravid (capt), 5 Yuvraj Singh, 6 Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wk), 7 Irfan Pathan, 8 Harbhajan Singh, 9 Ramesh Powar, 10 Zaheer Khan, 11 Rudra Pradap Singh.

I don't normally support the Poms. But i reckon they should win this match. Both squads are fairly strong, so it'll be a interesting match to watch.
