England in South Africa.
3T20s, 4ODIs & 3 Tests.

England last week announced their tour of South Africa, and they will be trvelling to South Africa for the first of the three T20s. Also there will be 4 ODIs and 3 Test matches, last time England played South Africa they ended up losing the test serie. But Coach Andy Flower says 'since we have become no 1 in the world we have built up our confidence and think we now have a better chance of winning the series than we did last time'. But England are on the back of a 3 - 0 series whitwash loss to Pakistan, but they did win the T20 and they won the ODI series 4 - 0 with Kevin Pietersen hitting back to back hundreds which could lead to some form in the upcoming series in South Africa.

Many England cricketers were born in South Africa but have never played for South Africa. Captain Andrew Strauss, Jonathan Trott and Kevin Pietersen are only some of the South African born English Players. These three will be looking to hit some form against there home country.

England have announced their squads for the T20 & ODI Series:
Kevin Pietersen
Craig Kieswetter
Jos Buttler
Ravi Bopara
Eoin Morgan
Samit Patel
Tim Bresnan
Stuart Broad
Graeme Swann
James Anderson
Jade Dernbach
Steven Finn
Alastair Cook
Jonathan Trott
Jonathan Bairstow

Englands squad involve 3 wicket keepers. Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow and Craig Kieswetter are all included in the fifteen man squad for limited overs series. But the three of them are wicket keeper batsmens so dont be suprised if they all play in the same team. Also Steven Finn has told Sky Sources that he doesnt want to carry the drinks anymore and he wants to be in the starting eleven on a regular basis in all forms of the game.

South Africa have also announced their squads and have announced debutants Marchant de Lange, Justin Ontong and Richard Levi in their limited overs squad.

England thrash South Africa in first T20
England won by 25 runs.

England easily beat South Africa in the First T20 in Johannesburg. England hit a fantastic 174 for 6 off their 20 overs with debutant Jonny Bairstow top scoring with a well played 43 off 25 and Craig Kieswetter hitting a deccent score of 31 off 21 balls with a very good strike rate. The South African spinner was the most expensive of the bowlers but took 2 for 36 off his 4 overs with debutant Marchant de Lange finishing with the exact same figures off his 4 overs. Albie Morkel was fantastic in the field and with his bowling by taking a great catch in the deep to get rid of the dangerous Jonny Bairstow. He also was tight with conceding runs as he ended up taking 1 for 23 off 4 overs.

South Africa got off to a very good start with opener Richard Levi hitting a very entertaining 26 off 20 balls before Steven Finn got rid of the other opener Hashim Amla cleaned bowled in the third over. JP Duminy came into the crease and top scored for the Proteas. Graeme Swann was very expensive same as the South African spinner, but Swanns expensive came off really well has he collected his first five wicket haul in the T20 form of the game. He ended up with figures of 5 for 44 of 3.3 overs. Also Ravi Bopara bowled really well for a part time bowler with Bopara picking up two wickets for 26 runs off 3 overs. Also fast bowler Steven Finn pitched in with one wicket and only conceding a very minimum 11 runs of three overs. Finally, England bowled South Africa out for 149 off 17.3 overs.

Wow!! Swann picks a five-four (but he gave plenty of runs)

England just show how damn awesome they are, downing the favorites.

ahahaha yeah Swann was really expensive conceding boundaries, but he picked up mostly the tail end. thanks mate

Great bowling by Swann; btw you can use fraps to capture the scorecard. :thumbs

@RPHKR: Its not easy, give him a break
@miggo: You could try making a scorecard using photoshop or gimp, it will be more work but the results will be fantastic. I can send you some gimp compatible scorecards if you want.

btw, This story looks promising. I love IC2010, best cricket sim atm. Here: is a cricinfo scorecard that would go great in your updates. Are you using Zimrahil's Challenging Gameplay Roster?

good win for england there. swann was expensive for his 5 wickets. cat wait to see more

the text cannot be edited using gimp, you must have photoshop to edit text layers unfortunately. You can however, simply make the scorecard in excel using this template.
