Hello Sir, these teams that you mention are playing to their strengths - i.e. the seamers! our strength is spin! As much as seam bowling is important, spin is also important!

And stop this bias against spin bowling! You seem to be insulting the art of spin! We have the required fast bowlers to bowl for us in conditions abroad. On home pitches, India HAS TO PLAY 2 SPINNERS!

If you dont agree, get lost!
Ok our strength is spin

Then
WHy dont you suggest to play 5 spinners in the team as spin is our main attack?
why dont you suggest spinners to open the bowling?

Its the 5 fast bowlers won the world cup for us Kapil dev,Balwinder Sandhu ,Roger Binny,Madan Lal,Mohinder Amarnath
But from then on we always concentrated on spinners and there u go India could never become a champion again.

Are we discussing about ODI's or tests here? Plz clear that!

We cant play with a single spinner on turning wickets! Its others strength to play their fast bowlers. We should play our two spinners!

I am not an idiot to suggest playing 5 spinners. Have one-two spoons of sugar in a tea would be sweet. Having 6-7 spoons of sugar would be poisonous to your body and would kill you!

Well in that case everytime you drank a Coke from McDonalds you would die instantly, about 40 teaspoons of Sugar in a normal!

Have a look there guys. Is Loudon a good player?

He's impressive, he's a batsmen who bowls kind of like Mark Waugh (not comparing abilities).

He's a different type of Spinner something we haven't had for ages.

It was a fictional example!

I am taking into account what pitches you'll be preparing and i'm saying we will be able to play on them. We have players capable of playing quality spin bowling like Pietersen, Vaughan, Trescothick and Flintoff. Not only can they play spin, but they could take a spinner apart.

Well just saying it wont proove it mate ,will it ??????????

Trescothick was in India last time too didnt impress and didnt play Warney well in England either.

Strauss well didnt wanted to say this but seeing him against Warne he looks he cant play spin

Vaughan well he is a liability for me in this English side much in the same way Ganguly is for India.

Pieterson well cant say about him cos he hasnt been tested enough.

Flintoff the biggest batting dud of the last Indian tour.ANd you cant say he has learned technique to play spin now.

Geraint Jones plays once in the blue moon in home conditions so dont expect much from him either

Ashley Giles and I accept this guy will be succsefull in India with the bat cos he does look like having a technique to play spin well. But then he wont score tons of run either.

Rest surely cant bat.

SO ur hope should be from Pieterson and a lottery from FLintoff or Trescothick

You don;'t have to take apart the bowling in a test.
You have to negotiate it,you have to nullify the spin.Thats why test players are considered better than odi players.
Though virender sehwag does take away the bowling he doesnt go after them very now and then.

I never said he was amazing against spin, but he's not as bad as you think. How many people have struggled against Warne over the years? Alot.

You watch him go when he really needs too (Old Trafford).

Not tested enough?! He's just scored over 400 runs and averaged over 50 against Australia, supposedly the best side in the world, thats no test is it! He also played Warne supurbly just about all the time (not inc. being bowled in the 1st inns at The Oval!)

You could hardly call Flintoff a test class batsman then, could you? He has improved substantially since that tour. Again, another one who played Warne very, very well and is still improving as a real, top class batsman, as his innings at Trent Bridge showed.

I have to agree here!

Didn't do particularly well against Warne, but yes, he's solid and reliable with the bat.

Hoggard can hang around for a long time, Jones (averages 15.76) has some gorgeous and effective shots as he showed against Australia and Harmison (averages just over 10) is certainly capable of scoring a few. It's one of the best batting tailend's around i'd say.

You can't compare the Flintoff on that Indian tour to the Flintoff now, He's improved a heck of alot and is now one of the best in the world.

Personally i would put Prior in ahead of Jones, ok Prior hasn't got as much experience as Jones, but i'd say he's a better keeper can bat just aswell, Plus he keeps to and bats against Mushy in the nets :D

I think we should give Prior a chance, but I still do have a lot of faith in Geraint Jones. The Ashes series wasnt the best one for the Kent wicketkeeper, but I am certain that he is a much better keeper-batsman than what we have seen of him in the summer. I feel if we show more confidence in him, then we can have him develop into a better keeper.

And even the Pakistani and Indian keepers are that great either you know.

My prediction is Paks lose the 1 day series and draw the test series.

India will prob ose the 1 day series but win the Test series.

Prior needs to be in the team. His batting is better than jones and if his keeping is as good then he is the man for the job.

My predications India win test series, but lose the odi series. Pakistan draw tests series, but lose the odi series.

india will lose both forms of the game.England is in superb form, while pakistan can are stronge contenders for odi not for test.

i agree with bravo. And although i am by no means an indian supporter i suggest that u don't underestimate india. i.e. in tests

india losing both? wow... gr88!!!!! lets watch what happens!

india will win the tests 2-1! ODI's - would be A CLOSE AFFAIR with England winning the last ODI to win the series!
