James Anderson, Man of the Match from the first game with figures of 5/18, has been rested for this match. Glamorgan's Simon Jones replaces the Lancastrian in this game. The rest of the side remains unchanged.

Michael Vaughan won the toss and elected to bat first.

Here are some of the highlights followed by the stats.

Thanks for the comments...guys!

Namibia are very close to a causing a major upset. At the moment they are 191-4 after 42 Overs, needing another 51 runs to win the match. I will be posting the screenshots and stats of the Namibian innings after the completion of this match.

Could the African minnows cause a big upset here?

You bet they can....and they have.

Yeah...Namibia have beaten England by six wickets in this match with 12 balls to spare. Namibia pretty much outplayed England in this game, and deserve the victory. But at the same time, it shows how out of touch i have become after having not played the game for so long.
I will need to practice a lot before starting the ODIs against Zimbabwe and the test and ODI series against South Africa.

Screenshots and Stats coming up.

VAUGHAN PRAISES NAMIBIAN ATTITUDE
spt-b.jpg

England captain, Michael Vaughan says he has been impressed by the overall attitude of the Namibian Team. Namibia shocked England by beating them by 6 wickets in the 2nd One Day Match between the two sides at the Windhoek Wanderers Stadium. As a result, Namibia have drawn the 2 match series 1-1, after having been thrashed by 9 wickets by England in the first match.

?They showed a lot of patience, stamina, and paced their innings perfectly. They have a bright future in cricket?, said Vaughan. ?However, it is important that they continue to play like this if they want to be given a permanent ODI status from the ICC.?

England are without Marcus Trescothick, Andrew Flintoff and Steve Harmison for this first part of their African Tour, which also includes a 5 ODI series against Zimbabwe after these 2 One Day matches. England also rested three senior players in Geraint Jones, Ashley Giles, and James Anderson, though Anderson did play in the first match.

?We were probably a bit overconfident after having won the first match so convincingly. Our batting performance in this match was simply dreadful for any level of cricket.? added Vaughan.
