Pakistan should send their players to Australian domestic leagues. The standard of cricket is better and they have been signing a lot of them up recently.

Well, then why are IPL giving such a HUGEEE amount for a silly T20 tournament? And mainly, why did ICC Increase the prize money for a silly T20 tournament?
Well, even though there were scenes of Northern Indian XI, they performed, not like "going to the center - playing some shots blindly - get back". And Murali Vijay selection is 100% based on his performance in IPL. We had good lesson last year by picking RP Singh, Rohit Sharma by seeing their IPL performances. But why did the same mistake repeat and that too by the saem selector?
Even I would have hit that flinging century on such a conditions in CSK VS RR Match. Flat pitch, and Rajasthan bowling being mainly studded by medium pacers (except one), the ball just came on to bat, he had enough time to read the ball and hit it for a six.
Pragyan Ojha himself was not interested due to his marriage. SO, Piyush Chawla was next available choice, who even can bat.
And Subramaniyam Badrinath, is an ODI player, and could have been experimented in T20's.
But what is his performance in T20's? He don't have any records in T20's.
The only player who could have replaced Sehwag is Uthappa, who has got same temperament, similar to Sehwag. He is mastero in playing short pitch deliveries, and I reckon everyone knows his Sixes against Brett Lee in Australia and in South Africa (T20 WC 2007 SF). Manish Pandey would have been another choice, cos he plays good cricket and holds good T20 records.

He's such a flogger that he wants everything to run on what ever he wants.

You should be the last one to talk about other teams being a mess.
Out of Pakistan's super 8 group, England and Pakistan deserved to go through based on super 8 matches. You can't base it on the group games, they don't count when you're in super 8.

I heard on Aajtak news and they were talking about taking captaincy away from Dhoni. That would be ridiculous. Dhoni is easily one of the best captains around, I can't believe they are calling for his head.
Why do you consider it 'humiliation'? You are giving Lalit Modi and India way too respect there.

I can feel that Dhoni is going to be in trouble. It will be atrociously bad if they snatch away captaincy from him in ODI's and/or tests. THAT WOULD BE THE WORST EVER DECISION IN RECENT HISTORY!!! I wont be surprised if Dhoni is sacked as T20 captain and retained as just a player. His skills are waning for T20's and I dont see him playing the format at international level for more than 3 years.
What I am worrying about is Dhoni sacked as Indian captain altogether. Thats bad. He has been very good in tests and ODI's. We have done far better under him than all other captains except Saurav Ganguly. Hope the captaincy change for the Zimbabwe tour isnt a precursor for whats to come.

And after reading all reply, I was much more amazed that most of them was having thier face as red as a tomato.
But each and every word written is a fact.IPL was never been a place where cricketers can learn cricket.It is a place where you can get good money,publicity(as Indian media is huge) but nothing more then that.
No even a single player came out of IPL circuit to represent Indian team and have performed well.
If we leave IPL (go to hell) then another thing came to mind is why in last few years India can't able to do well in any big tournament. Whether it is T20 WCs or Champions Trophy.If we again compare it to Pakistan then even all sort of mess we were having upper hand on Indian team.
BCCI and Indian cricket fans must open their eyes you are only good at you home and else where you are very poor. You need to find good short pitch ball players and bowlers otherwise ask ICC to held every tournament in India.

Dhoni is the only good option we have. From what I saw of Raina in the IPL (captaining CSK), I was not impressed at all. We all know how Yuvraj is as captain. Gambhir was unimpressive too while captaining Delhi. Sehwag knows he is not good, so he wanted to groom Gambhir for captaincy. Zaheer frequently breaks down with injuries. Harbhajan was bad when he captained MI in one of the IPL's. No one else is permanent in the side.

And one of the poorest decision of Dhoni was to chose to field against Australia and West Indies with worlds greatest bowlers in hand(:sarcasm).

We have had worser defeats before. And Dhoni sacked from what? We are playing ODI's next (Dhoni should be back for the Asia Cup). You want him sacked for that??? Or for the tests coming up?

In India, we have a set of selectors consisting 4-5 people (dont know the exact count). Only when the majority of the selectors vote for a particular player, he gets selected (in case of a tie, the chief selector has the right to chose the best candidate). If Srikanth was indeed favoring Tamil players, what were the other selectors doing? Do you mean to say they were taken into confidence by Srikanth? Are they that naive? Selectors never get compliments when the team does well. Its all the team's credit. But when we fail, the selectors are in the chopping block.
