West Indies all set to grab quarterfinal spot. Pakistan vs Ireland all set to become a knockout. It would be very interesting to see how the approaches of Ireland and Pakistan change once they hear news of the result of the WI vs UAE game.

Yes. WI are through to the quarters unless the Ireland v Pakistan game is a tie or a washout. And if no tie/washout, then WI play NZ whereas the winner of Ireland vs Pakistan will face Australia.

By the way, Porterfield is batting superbly here. Ireland need to target 300+ to put Pakistan under real pressure. This could be a thriller here since in the second innings, Ireland's weakness (their bowling) will be fighting against Pakistan's weakness (their batting)

In literal terms, India are playing Quarterfinal 4 but since NZ are allowed to pick home ground for their Quarterfinal, Quarterfinal 4 (India vs Bangladesh) will be played as the second game (amongst all quarterfinals) on March 19th at the MCG.

Seeing the way these two are batting (esp. O Brien), even 250 looks tough. This is sad for Ireland who started off really well. It looks like they wont make it.

Haha, i've seen this happen before when Vusi Sibanda was approaching his century and Zimbabwe needed only a few runs to win, Sean Williams at the other end just blocked and blocked
