hmm, I would advise u to get conroe, AMD just doesn't have any answer to even the cheapest conroe.

the cheapest one, 6300 when overclocked can beat the living hell out of every single AMD cpu that every existed!not to mention what those X6800 does( about 30% increase  )
I had written a short review of conroe.take a look.

I agree, Intel is better. Also, I am slightly worried about the fact that you're getting 4 GB of RAM. Whilst yes, the more RAM the better performance, in real likelihood you never need that much. 2 GB is a good amount to have, I have only 1 GB and hardly ever exceed that, 4 is over the top IMO. You could save some money, spend it on upgrading something else (although what, I don't know!! :p )

well, he can make his drive sub system about 40% faster by buying another hard disk, configure them to RAID 0 and watch load times disappear into oblivion. ( about 40-50% increase, I assure u)

Or if he really cares about his data, buy 3 hard disks (2X 250GB, 1X 500GB?) and use RAID 4 or 5, I forget, stripe the 250GB and mirror onto the 500GB. No better way of backing up.

:p

Yes, I had a look at that site, prices are pretty damn cheap, and you've got warranty and everything, but it takes the fun out of spending hours putting it all together and then switching it on...Also, you get so much more control. It only allows you to choose 1 motherboard, when there are thousands availiable.

But it does seem like a good site, people who don't want to put the thing together and like cheap computers, I would recommend that site.
