Dambulla games have been shifted to Colombo
The Tri-Series may even be sabotaged.

However, there are talks of it being shifted to a neutral venue along with the South africa Tests too.

This is because of the Lankan Board elections.
The problem has been created by the ruling party or something like that.

No way did he deserve a chance. His average I believe is not even 10 in the one day format this season.

This is plain quota system working.

Pak Tour-Parthiv Patel (West Zone)
WI Tour-D Karthik (SOuth Zone)
SL Tour-D Mongia (North Zone)
Chmapions trophy-??????(East Zone)

Also intresting India have dropped thier best bowler in the last series twice now for the next series.

Agarkar for Test and Kumble for ODI's.

If one is to take that the quota is being implemented,
Champions Trophy might as well see Sourav Ganguly in the team.
Also,we have a thread with the heading-Ganguly may be back: Selectors.

I expected Pathan to be dropped but i think it's all Chappellway now.

I dont think So! Saurav can only come back if he performs in county and if India performs really bad in the tri series against Sri lanka. Players like Kaif, Raina, Pathan have to fail badly.

India Vs Sri Lankans

Yuvraj seals win after wobble

Dileep Premachandran in Colombo

August 12, 2006

Indians 203 for 7 (Yuvraj 61*, Dravid 47) beat Sri Lankans 202 for 9 (Tharanga 88, Sehwag 3-16) by three wickets

A fluent half-century from Yuvraj Singh, and defiant batting from the lower order spared Indian blushes as they eked out a three-wicket victory over a strong Sri Lankan A side at the Colts Cricket Club Ground in Colombo.

Chasing 203 for victory, they slipped from the relative comfort of 128 for 3 to the crisis scoreline of 153 for 7, before Ajit Agarkar's resolute 32, and a doughty knock from Ramesh Powar saw them home with 33 balls to spare.

There's some news here that a blast near the player's hotel killed 7. That and the rain, and this series may be in jeopardy.
