On the contrary, Indian players have gotten more vocal in the last few years. I believe the trend started with Rayudu when he was dropped around 2015/2016. Indian players have started questioning the system and the fact that the selectors haven't given them clear instructions on why the decision was taken.

It doesn't surprise me one bit- As I mentioned previously, the BCCI was in shambles post the Lodha reforms and the 3 Murderers (Rai,Guha & the Lady) actually murdered the game in the country. I see nothing wrong in voicing out opinions if someone else is taking credit for your work. Virat did the same thing with Ganguly, R Ashwin has been quite vocal on many a front, Ravi Jadeja vehemently defends himself and his fellows from commentators. Guess time has come for us to accept that time shave changed.

Players today arent afraid of losing their India colors. Any person who has played 2-3 years for India(or any other country) will find himself a spot in any of the T20 tournaments happening globally- either as a player/mentor/coach. In fact, the exodus from the sub-continent to the USA has been baffling. Players wont be afraid of taking such steps in order to secure their future and playing careers.

Self respect > Career

If an individual considers that he is unfairly treated then he/she have got the right to make it public. I don't think individuals should receive criticisms for being honest over being fake/dishonest just to save their place. Eventually you are not happy with what you are doing. I've always felt players who tend to enjoy contributing to this game will always be willing to put that extra effort than someone who would be disinterested. Now, if you don't feel being respected in a particular environment there would always be some kind of disinterest that exists in an individual.

The journalist was trying to get Saha ready for an interview with him so he can take out some drama and masala out of him after Saha was dropped from the Test squad.

Saha chose to not give in to him and decided to ignore him. So the journalist couldn't take it and got offended and started boasting about him and tried to threaten him.

Ethics in journalism? Thats dead. Each and every journalist (old and new), are politically aligned to something. There are no journalist left who do journalism for journalism meaning showing us the truth without sugar coating it. I am sure that nothing will happen to the journalist. Based on his wordings he knows he is powerfully connected to someone, this will all be forgotten same time next week.

Given that most of the Indian public has turned against Ganguly, any idea who might be the next Board President? Since Ganguly & Shah cannot compete, BCCI would be looking towards an entity who can be powerful+respected enough to take on the ICC.

I have a feeling that it might be someone from the 4 Southern states-the mind invariably goes to yet another former Indian captain- Mohd. Azharuddin. If not Azhar, can we expect a left field choice like Ravi Shashtri? (with backing from a few politicians along the way)?
