It is a bit like what a super strong(on paper) Pakistan looked like in the late 1990s. Wasin, Waqar, Saqlain. Anwar, Sohail,Moin,Latif, Inzy, Salim Malik had all captained them and were playing together.
Clash of egos was bound to happen. And so it did. Pakistan cricket was in the doldrums for close to a decade thereafter. Growing clamour for anointing Bumrah/Pant as Test skipper will ensure we go down the Pakistan way.

The last time KL Rahul opened in an ODI was a year ago for a B team. The last time he scored a duck in an ODI was in the 2019 World Cup.

The way some people react to him you’d think he personally robbed their houses of all belongings, tied them up and forced them to listen to a mixtape of Darude - Sandstorm, Never Gonna Give You Up and that one song where the bloke just goes “aaaahhhhh” for eight hours whilst breaking out in a dance routine filled with flossing, T and L poses.

Wonder if they will employ the same during the World Cup as well. Dravid might be a bit too tired when we play in Bangalore. Laxman would be asked to take over for that game, as Dravid will go home and eat authentic Karantaki food while watching the team go down in flames!
