Mohammad Shami, Gill, SKY, Tom Curran, Rahul Tripathi. Also their obsession with past prime Russel and Narine!
Russell & Narine obsession seems to be on account of converting them into global T20 players turning out for the same franchisee. But, you are right- they are well past their prime and should not be considered any further.

@Bevab - Looks like your prediction about Ben Stokes becoming another Andrew Flintoff for CSK, is all set to become true!!! :D
If Ben Stokes isn't going to bowl, he isn't of any use to the franchisee. People would want to pick him for his all-round exploits and cannot rely on Stokes' batting as his only skill. Plus, the amount of money that he commands, purely on the basis of being a batsman doesn't justify his price tag.

KKR- the lesser said, the better! The day ain't far when SRK gets fed up and sells it off. Instead of chopping and changing, their best bet would be to get in Gautam Gambhir as the mentor/ Team Director and sack Venky Mysore.

So Rajasthan have traded Padikkal to LSG and got Avesh in return.

Unless they’re both planning overhauls of their squads with some releases this trade makes very little sense as Rajasthan already have plenty of domestic seamers with a knack of being expensive while LSG have four openers in their team with three meriting first team selection.

At least with RR offloading Padikkal makes sense since they have their opening duo settled in Jaiswal and Buttler but LSG letting go of Avesh doesn’t seem like a good idea now that they only have Unadkat as the team’s experienced domestic pacer.

LSG got a good few young prospects from what I recall, Mohsin, Yudhvir and some other bloke.

Forgot about Mohsin. They do have a couple of talented prospects in Mayank and Yash Thakur (wouldn’t include Yudhvir there from what I’ve seen him produce) but it feels like Avesh is a bigger loss for LSG than Padikkal being for RR.

Wonder if they’ll continue sticking with their template of cramming every all-rounder possible in the top and middle order that they’ve done with this team and their sister team in South Africa.

Just remembered that Ahmedabad hosted the IPL final as well earlier this year and have seen a yellow Jersey team win a Final twice this year.:D

GT & MI switch?

Hardik to be swapped with Rohit/ Archer. Might be the biggest swap till date, if that happens.

I personally don't see MI letting go of Rohit unless he wants a change himself. Hardik coming back to MI could be on account of the fact that he wants to be captain. With Rohit towards the fag-end of his career, MI is definitely looking for a sturdy option to replace him. If they don't get Hardik, they are likely to try Iyer, another Mumbai boy- I can't see them handing the reins over to SKY/ Ishan either.

Gambhir, meanwhile seems to have put up Andre Russell for sale. If true, it is a great opening move by KKR. Russell was more of a liability or KKR since the last mega auction anyway.

Agreed- but Padikkal wasn't used very well by RR. That said, there's little space where he can be accommodated. Letting go of him made sense.

Been hearing that KLR didn't want to work with him post the latter's scathing attack on KLR during the Asia Cup. Gambhir had suggested that Ishan Kishan, the man in form , be preferred over KLR in the World Cup. Could have influenced their decision. Then again, Sanjiv Goenka listening to KLR seems very anti-climatic, as he, till date, is the only one who has sacked MS Dhoni from captaincy. (RPSG)
