This approach is straight up baffling; if they are going to forfeit any chase as soon as they lose 4 wickets even with the impact sub rule they might as well not play the tournament imho

And if he is unavailable too, why can't we play both Rutherford and Phillips? Phillips is a handy spinner too so might have been useful to cover up off-color Ishant. I just don't see why are we playing just 3 foreigners including impact sub.

I am a bit worried about HYD's approach here. Yes, it is a game where you want to entertain, but at the cost of losing? The public loves when batsmen go hammer and tongs, but the HYD side seems very one-dimensional here. It is either my way or the highway. This is exactly what cost them the Final last year.

The other side that is making the news for the wrong reasons is CSK- I think they haven't gotten a clue as to what they need to do. Fleming as been a master tactician for them for years, but the side he has put together this year doesn't really give anyone confidence that they will make it to the Final 4. The more worrying aspect here being that CSK seem happy with their performance- continuing in this vein means they will most probably make up the middle of the table.

Bumrah is available for MI. On paper, the attack becomes stronger together with him, Boult, and Santner. I don't consider Chahar as a proper bowler, still feel he is a flash-in-the-pan performer like Manpreet gony.

So looks like this season is done for SRH. Hard to imagine them making the playoffs after 4 consecutive losses.

Need to invest in better local talent in bowling. Maybe it's also time Pat Cummins sits some matches out. Has been hammered in almost every game he's bowled. But don't see that happening either with him being the skipper and the biggest star player in the team.
