Yeah, it's not exactly ambitious, though maybe he infers that he can inconsistently reach something like 150 kph, which would be more interesting.140ks is still slow compared to the rest of the top teams.
Even Stuard Broad is consistently above 140ks :laugh and he is a woman.
top batsmen seem as though they could ably face in excess of 160 kph. It's when they do have to think that the lack of time becomes a problem.

Which is why bowling in the low-mid 130s for a fast bowler is not working for the Indians. Sure the bowler can out fox the batsman with movement in the air and off the seam but if its 130ks then most decent quality batsman will not be too troubled. They have a world of time to play, and more often then not you will only get them out when they throw away their wicket. ALso when you consider how flat most wickets are nowadays too, bowling 130s is almost unacceptable for a fast bowler.
140s plus all the movement and skill is a bare minimum to be an international quality fast bowler in my book. Any speed above is just bonus, any below is substandard fast bowling.
Howsie, you only say that because New Zealand's entire pace attack bowls at 135km/h and you are just trying to be ambitious.. :laugh
With the exception of Shane Bond, he is great.
Spot on !!! :rtfl:rtfl:rtfl
braguvaran added 13 Minutes and 15 Seconds later...
A guy like mohd Aamir 17 years old and comes from the subcontinent bowls at over 145kmph consistently. He puts the indian bowlers to shame actually!!
If pakistan under these trying times are able to produce bowler after bowler like him think what they can do when all goes well>??:sarcasm
Its not as if Pakistan has stopped producing cricketers because of their recent trying times of terror and not hosting international games. The connection between the two does not exist. Pakistan have a history of fast bowling. They have huge idols to look upto for fast bowling. Also being non-vegetarians (esp. meat eating), they easily get the body to take up fast bowling.
You got that from Bowl at Boycs??
Coz he said the same![]()
