I've seen other people in your area having problems with NTL and in the end they had to ring up NTL and change the proxy settings. I'm trying to find the link which runs you through the process - will post it if I can lay my hands on it.

I can't find the specific thread (they've removed the old IT thread for a new one) but if you do a search for NTL\Proxy problems in google it'll come up with a fair number of results.

I know that I had to briefly change mine for a while so that I was using one specified for Swansea instead of Cardiff and it did the trick.

Also try killing the explorer.exe process form the task manager and re-starting it. by clicking file - run, type explorer.exe in task manager.

Please help with this! It is so frustrating that there is no way to cure it without going into safe mode and I have no idea what to do with it then! Just someone please post a cure quickly!
