On the first day 16th NOV at Saint John?s

It is a Hot and Sunny with a few clouds dotted here and there which indicates no chance of rain. And on this likely occasion the captains walk onto the middle of the pitch for the toss. The toss has proven to be in Lara?s favor and he choose to bat first. Lara said that he was pleased to win the toss.

The lineup for:

New Zealand

Sinclair

Fleming

Nevin

Astle

Mcmillan

Cairns

McCullum

Oram

Vettori

Tuffey

And Bond

West Indies

Gayle

Ganga

Sarwan

Lara

Samuels

Jacobs

Banks

Drakes

Collymore

Taylor

And Edwards

So finally after 46 overs of intensive and exciting cricket the West Indies are all out for 269.Ganga (78), Collymore (57*) and Lara (40) contributed the most for their country. While Vettori (5-36) and Tuffey (2-47) did most of the destruction of the West Indies line up. The New Zealand showed what they were capable of while the West Indies were caught napping. They did not face any threat except from Ganga and Collymore. They had completed their innings by 3:23 P.M on day 1.The pitch sure did help the batters and bowlers. Ganga who was looking for his century tried to hit the ball over the infield but did not succeed and the ball went straight to Bond for an easy catch. And Collymore was not out at the end of the Innings. So the Statistics of the first innings.

So after 66 overs of surprised and harder than expected cricket for New Zealand, they are all out for 268, 1 run short from West Indies total of 269. The West Indian showed that they were one step ahead of the Kiwis by leading by 1 run at the end of the First Innings. Cairns (86) Nevin (69) And Sinclair (37) were the top scorers for New Zealand and Drakes (4-67) and Collymore (4-121) were the highest wicket takers. lol Collymore made 57* :D
Well yeah they were near 200 when their ninth wicket went.i didnt think that they would make 269. but when they started to make runs off oram's and mcmillan's balls i put vettori in and he took the wicket.

SO after exactly 50 overs of improved cricket from both the teams West Indies are all out for 244.This time however some batsmen improved, some became bad and some showed the same performance as in the first innings. The top scorer was Lara (142). No one else was good though. They had low scores below 20.And the bowlers Vettori (4-40) and Oram (3-73) were the best bowlers.

Can New Zealand make the required runs with such an unpredictable pitch?

I think the Windies will win the match.Collymore will get Man of the match.

So after 37 overs New Zealand have won with 1 one wicket on the 3rd day of the Match. It was a tight match and New Zealand struggled to make the runs as the wickets collapsed occasionally. They were attacking today and so were the West Indians. No one made a very big score but Nevin (43) Fleming (31) McMillan (29) were the three top scorers and Drakes (3-55) and Edwards (2-50) were the top bowlers. The award giving ceremony will take place after the highlights.

The statistics are as follows: -

Time 2:46 PM, Day 3

Total: 246/9

New Zealand Win by 1 wicket

Top scorer: Nevin (43)

Top Wicket taker: Drakes (3-55 in 11.1 overs)

Bowlers used: 4

New Zealand won a hard fought victory.

Voldemort: So, welcome to the awarding ceremony. But before handing out checks lets talk to the captain?s, first Lara. What do you think of the match?

Lara: Well it was a very difficult match, but their quality showed of in the end.

Voldemort: Do you think that you should have won?

Lara: Well yes we would have if we had showed the performance we showed in the first innings.

Voldemort: Okay bye, Now we move onto the Fleming. How was the match?

Fleming: Very challenging

Voldemort: Did you have hope that you would win the match?

Fleming: No I expected the first Innings to repeat but it only repeated partially.

Voldemort: Lucky win eh?

Fleming: yeah.

Voldemort: Now we move onto the Man Of The Match award. And the West Indies Minister of Sports will read out the player?s name.

The minister is given a card in an envelope. He opens it reads the name and after a pause says: Collymore.

Collymore comes on to the stage takes the award and check and faces me.

Voldemort: Happy Collymore?

Collymore: Yeah never expected it.

Voldemort: Well you seemed the most capable after seeing your batting and bowling figures.

Collymore: Yes it seems as if the pitch was in my favor.

Voldemort: Okay then Bye. Now it?s time to disperse let?s meet on 21 for the next Test of the three test series between New Zealand and West Indies at Port Of Spain. Till then Bye.

Oh man.....that must've been a close one...a victory by one wicket! :clap
