Mohammad Asif tests positive for illegal drug

I understand Asif is a Muslim. I know drugs are strictly prohibited in Islam, would he be disowned by Muslims for this?

LOLz, when doing drugs that would be the last thing in his mind.

Anyways, RIP Asif, you down ass bitch but i aint mad ach'ya.

ring.. ring.. ring..

That Rule is not for a Cricketer,I guess though you raised a good point.
I have seen photos of Imran Khan drinking wine in public party.

vaibhav mehta added 9 Minutes and 40 Seconds later...

Exactly.
I think this is stupid or this is the way for Asif to get escape from this matter.
If He has taken Nandrolone then for god sake our body doesn't produce that though it has same activity as a progestin which is produced by our body,it has different structure.
If Drug is traced in his urine sample than there is no logic in Test B.

It's purely a safety measure. For the anomaly rather than the general statistical chance.

WTF? is drinking wine same as taking drugs to uppen your skills...

Also don't know how little bit of white powder can make you swing better.

If he doesn't get banned for life at the very minimum it will show what a disgrace the PCB are. I can not believe they let him go 2 times before. I didn't lose any respect for him when I heard this because he didn't have any respect from me. An absolute idiot, let him rot.

it is for BCCI aka ICC to decide now.. I think.

I meant that Muslim religion neither allow to take drug nor to drink alcohol?
Correct me,If I am wrong.

Yes, you are not allowed. but why the F are you talking about religion right now, I mean??

We are just wondering,if Muslims arent allowed to touch alcohol and drugs,Why on earth did Asif do it ?

Its not illegal to drink outside of the religion bonds as it’s a personal thing, which everyone should respect.

Where of drugs, it’s totally wrong even though in MY eyes drinking is no less different. There is no rule that says Cricketers shouldn’t drink a little bit wine in a party or something, because this is a cricket discussion forum not a religion.

Completly off topic but I feel it needs to be said

Usman your a teenager not tupac!

man, I was just answering the stupid comments that were made about:

Imran Khan/drinking/Muslim/allowed/not allowed... that infact had nothing to do with Mohammad Asif/Drugs/Cricket/PCB

I don't know whats part of your big hype, being against me, I'm trying to make stuff simple for people around me.

Drugs are technically banned, but on the streets of Pakistan (well in my experiences so far) at least 55% of the men here do hashish... (18-21 yr males)

And alcohol is technically not suppoused to be sold to non-Muslims, but it is an underground business, and makes quite a bit of money.

Of course both are things that Muslims are prohibited from doing, but its done in a Muslim country....

I hope that answers the question. Oh - and Zohaib's example is a pretty simple one as well :p
