Great batsman, but a sad end to his ODI career. And he will also resign from captaincy. :(

No surprises. I think the death of Woolmer has probably had a bearing in it. He may have done it anyway, but yeah.

Will be sad to see him gone. Not a nice way to end your career. I feel for what he's gone through recently.

A sad end to a great odi career,
he should have waited till zimbabwe match cos a loss against ireland as his last match looks really bad on a great career

Not too unexpected, but it's going all off at the moment isn't it?

Still going to play in Tests though, gambino according to that source. What a player though!

i feel he should have waited a few days and annoucned this. Already, we have to deal with sad death of Bob Woolmer, and now this.

so does that mean he wont be playing vs zimbabwe... not that it matters much now we are already out and might save inzi from 3 matches in a row failure

It's a blessing in disguise that Pakistan are out of the WC so instead of having to play on in tatters, they can deal with the situation as best they can
