With 6 runs required from 2 balls it was anyone's game but Saqlain Mushtaq heaved a six over the leg side to see Paksitan to a 3 wicket win with 1 ball to spare and wrap up the series 3-0. Salim Elahi was out in the first over when he repeated his dismissal of the first match and top edged a hook shot to be caught at square leg off Gibson. Razzaq then reached a powerful 50 off 20 balls before holing out on the leg side boundary. Hasan Raza played an entertaining innings before he and Yousuf Youhana were bowled off their pads in the same over attempting on drives to balls pitching outside leg stump from off spinner Powell. Moin Khan hit out well before being caught at deep mid wicket to leave the match evenly poised with Pakistan on 166/5 and 7.3 overs remaining. Shadab Kabir had batted patiently at one end for most of innings and he reached his second half century of the series off 37 balls before edging to the keeper when trying to advance and loft a straight drive. Shoaib Malik hit his first 2 balls for four before mis timing one to sqaure leg, to leave the score at 204/7 with 2 overs remaining. Azhar Mahmood played a sensible innings to ensure there was no collapse before Saqlain Mushtaq hit the winning 6 with a ball to spare. The West Indies bowlers had put in their best all round performance of the series wth Gayle the pick of the attack with 3 wickets with his tidy offspin. Brian Lara was named man of the match for his fine innings and Saeed Anwar man of the series for his match winning batting in the first two games.
