Umar Gul Pulls a Hamstring Injury

Pakistani ast bowler Umar Gul has been ruled out of the Test series and maybe even the first 2 ODI's after pulling a injury in training yesterday. Umar picked up 4-34 against Sri Lanka A and is one of pakistans star bowlers. He will be missed but Shahid Nazir whois a averaged age young bowler can really swing the ball and will be dangerous if he has the ball in his hand.


Umar has had an X-ray yesterday and he will not be fit for 20 days. Hameed Ahmad said: We will miss Umar a lot he is a great bowler with lots of potential. He will be replaced by Majid Huq a young 23 year old who has just started his career. Majid is a great fast bowler who has best figures of 5-28 for Pakistan A.


Many people think that this will have a affect on the pakistani side but Younis Khan the Pakistani captain has said that we can still win without Umar but we will be stronger with him back-Sky Sports

For know Umar Gul has said that he will nplay in the second ODI against Sri Lanka. We will have more updates later.
