I feel that posts in the signature and artworks forum should be counted. People spend quite a lot of time on their work. I'm not saying that having more posts is great but we are contributing to the forum.

Please Note: It is just a suggestion.

Its a good suggestion, I agree. You don't get an awful lot of spam in there, and we have a lot of talented graphics makers.

I am not spamming: Posts in the Humour and Jokes Forum which consist of sometimes only "lol!" are counted as posts, why not our graphics and artworks. Besides, it's a lot harder than saying "lol!".

Sorry mate, you misunderstood me. You just said what I was trying to say.

Or maybe I've misunderstood you? :p

No I was just adding on to what I was saying not on to what you were saying. I was just trying to make my opinion heard.

Forum Rules said:
5) Spam: Spamming is characterised by the initiation of threads or posts that contribute nothing to a forum, be it off topic or on topic. Examples include: empty messages, messages with few words that have no relation to the current thread or discussion and those posts that state they are spam, either to annoy or increase a member's post count. Use of the private messaging system to spamming or otherwise distribute offensive material is strictly prohibited. It is at the discretion of the Planetcricket Team to determine whether something is spam and to deal with any such occurrence as seen fit. However in keeping with our light hearted theme that Planetcricket forums has always upheld, common sense will always be applied as to what really constitutes spam and what doesn't. But please note any such decisions are not up for discussion.

Here :D

What is the ruling on spam???

How is it adjudged?
Having read the rules, you already know.

How funny it is, that when people register at planet cricket they click on a check box which says-' I'VE READ ALL THE RULES AND I AGREE TO FOLLOW THESE' and yet they ask what's this and what's that.

Back to the original point.

The post count is disabled in the subforum mainly because the majority of posts are

"Can you make me a ...." and "here you go...."

These posts can hardly counted as a contribution to the forum. Your point about the H&J is valid though. Maybe we should disable post count there to ;)

Yes, Duded needs more places to post befroe reaching 1,000 :p

"Can you make me a ...." and "here you go...."

But you have to realize that we do spend time on what we post in that sub-forum.

If the mods feel this thread is going nowhere then they can close it.

Of course I realise you spend time on it. I have posted there myself. But as nice as most of the artwork is it doesnt actually bring any substance to the forum, it just dresses it up a bit with signatures and avatars.

Oh and for the record. Mods dont need your permission to close threads :p

That is true. I've seen some amazing things being made on those forums. But you have to understand that the admins do this to discourage the less mature members of the forum from spamming these places. In fact, if the posts started to count, you could see a spike in spamming over there.

BTW, why does post count matter anyway? If you do a good job making sigs and avvies, people will appreciate you regardless of your post count.
