Yep, thats right. If you compare the life of these two greats you wont find this thread hard to accept. Sachin andRocky, both of them are Extraordinarily talented and determined but are physically inferior against most of their opponents. Yet more often than not they prevail due to their genius and grit to survive.

rocky Started his career as a nobody who got his surprise match against the World heavyweight champion. Noone expected much from him, though he prooved everyone wrong. He stood his ground for 15 rounds and only lost on the basis of unanimous votes. He got his rematch a year later and won the match by a knockout.

Sachin started his career from Pakistan tour in 89. Expectations were low. He was hit on the nose in the 3rd test match by Waquar younis and felll on the ground but as rocky said " It is not about how hard can you hit, it is about how hard can you get hit and yet carry on moving", Tendulkar got up and scored a fighting 61 at the age of 16.

Rocky balboa's coach died after his shock defeat , but rocky came back and won the rematch in KO for his coach.

Sachin's father died during WC 99, but it didnt affected his game. Instead, he became more determined and scored 141 in next match.

Thoroughout his career Rocky fought the Physically superior opponents and won the match due to his will.

Sachin on the other hand played with a crap team in 90's and won matches single handedly due to his talent and will.

At the age of 55 everyone wrote Rocky Balboa off, everyone made fun of him when he decided to come back to professional boxing. But again rocky prooved crictics wrong and stood for 15 rounds against the World Champion and once knocked the champion on the ground. though he had lost but everyone knew what would have happened to the champion is he had fought against rocky when rocky was young.

Everyone was cricticising tendulkar that his age has affected his game and he is not the same batsmen any more but he has prooved everyone wrong time and again with genius innnings. He reminded them that nothing is stationary and everything changes with time. Though sachin has changed with time but he is still giving the same output as before. It is only the production that is changed. Monst of players peak once in a life time but Sachin is peaking 3rd time in his career.

In the words of Rocky Balboa " Every great fighter has one last fight left in him"

converting that for sachin -- " Every Great Batsmen has one great match left in him"

May be we are talking bout 2011 WC Final. A century in the final is the only thing that can conclude his great journey.

I cannot recall a sportsperson in the history who's performance affects daily life of over a billion people!!:hpraise:hpraise Whenver he plays there is a curfew like atmosphere in india. People in markets gather around t.v showrooms to watch him bat. It has been a really great journey. I feel honoured to be a sachin fan and that i am born in this era . Future generations would hear the Legend of Tendulkar.

agree^^ Gaurav avoid having such thread now as members here i really feel like naming them but i will not, will just go the other way and start criticizing etc

By the way, they find a 25-30 year player who hardly scored century who has been in controversies just invented a shot is a GOD :hpraise

Sachin started playing cricket long back 19 years ago at that time, the so called Gods were having babyfoods or Learning Kindergarten

Who on this forum has called a 25-30 year old player who 'invented a shot' a God? Hmm, subtle........twat.

Just to make it clear for you though, KP > Sachin ;)

Dan! this is not a thread meant for comparision between Sachin and K.P. So please don't spoil the mood. we are here to talk bout the legacy of a great player who has been entertaining us for last 20 years.

There will allways be great players but you cannot say one is greater than other. Shaqil O Neal is very good player ,but can you say he is better than Michael Jordan???

So let us pay tribute to the Legend and enjoy his gift.

Just to lighten up the mood here is a Pic. Tendulkar is really Saint like;)
Take a look at Yuvi,Uthappa and Karthik. Man they are looking at the girl's back. :p:p:p

Well Dan, You have started a thread 2nd greatest batsman in the history of cricket. There you have accepted Sachin to be the best after Bradman. So if Bradman is 1, Sachin is 2 and you are also correct that K.P>Sachin. Then there is only one possible outcome.
K.P is 1.5,:p:D:p yeah, thats before 2 and thus all of your statements holds.:cheers;)

I read somewhere that Dave Warner invented the Switch Hit and K.P has just perfected it.

take a closer look, yuvraj is also look at her, it seems as if he had told them to look there, he's the real bratt.:p:p

Pleased to see Sachin looking away, as if saying " I have seen enough":D:D

Rocky was an overrated bum. He took advantage of one of the weakest eras in heavyweight history. Creed was an easy winner of the first fight despite being completely past it and in the second fight he was as shot as JFK. Lang was an average fighter and the fact he got beat by him at all leaves a black mark on his record. Dangerous puncher but no real defence at all, should have beat him easily. Fair enough Drago was a good win, he had genuine talent and was probably roided up heavily. Having said that it was only an exhibition bout and Drago had no pro experience beforehand at all. Decent win especially in the atmosphere he fought in but heart was never a problem, ability he is just lacking in. He lost clearly to Dixon as well, he got so much hype for that fight and he was easily outpointed on an off night for Dixon. As for his street fight with Gunn, that was completely silly and Gunn was a hypejob.

So if you think Tendulkar is crap then fine.

:D
