Dommo, if you spent as much time on your English homework as this you'd A+ the whole year. Keep up the good work man!

Another day, another cricket match and this time the action came from the WACA ground in sunny Perth. For the first time in the series the Scotland captain C.Wright won the toss and he elected to bat first. The pitch was flat and conditions were perfect for batting. On this wicket 200 was probably only a par score on this deck.

R.More and D.Lockhart opened the batting and got off to a flyer. Runs were coming from every ball bowled and most of the runs came from very good cricket shots. Lockhart however tried to go over the top from a V.Sehwag delivery but only managed to hit a straight forward catch to D.Mongia for 33 off 22 balls. The opening partnership was 89. R.More then mistimed a drive from Z.Khan and departed for 54 off 26. C.English then joined G.Hamilton and together they put on 67 before English nicked a ball from S.Ganguly through to R.Dravid for 19. D.Brown followed suit for 10 off 8 and then Hamilton finally went for 70 off 32 balls. R.Watson and C.Smith then saw Scotland through the 20 overs. R.Watson made 68 not out off 27 balls and Smith made 3 from 3. Scotland finished on 5/262 from their allocated 20 overs. S.Ganguly was the best of the Indian bowlers taking 2/56 off 4 overs and A.Kumble took 1/14 off 2 overs. Z.Khan and V.Sehwag were the other wicket takers.

Chasing 262 wasn?t going to be easy but still possible. The wicket was still flat and offering nothing for the bowlers. S.Ganguly and V.Sehwag opened the batting but couldn?t get off to a good start losing the first wicket for 17. Ganguly cut the ball straight to More for just 4 runs. V.Sehwag was next to go also cutting the ball to More for 22. Y.Singh was the next to go run out without scoring and without facing a ball. M.Kaif and V.Laxman then saw India to 84 before Kaif was caught off the spinner. Laxman was then run out for 38 and then Mongia and Kartik went for 1 and 0 respectively. R.Dravid then fell for 34 and that was the end for India. India ended up all out for 167 from 15.5 overs. C.Wright took 3/37 from 3.5 overs and G.Maiden took 3/46 from 4 overs. This was decisive victory for Scotland and one that will bring back the confidence after the first game which they lost to Australia.

Scotland 262/5 (20 overs)
G.Hamilton 70 (32)
R.Watson 68 (27)
R.More 54 (26)
S.Ganguly 2/56 (4)
A.Kumble 1/14 (2)

India 167 all out (15.5 overs)
V.Laxman 38 (39)
R.Dravid 34 (19)
V.Sehwag 22 (8)
C.Wright 3/37 (3.5)
G.Maiden 3/46 (4)

Scotland won by 195 runs

Man of the Match: G.Hamilton
