Draft Rules:
  • It will start from 8 July 2023 (Saturday) at 11:00 AM IST
  • You will only pick players mentioned in the player pool.
  • You can also pick any uncapped player not in the player pool if you want. Only requirement is they must not be retired and have played a List-A game since 2 July, 2022.
  • Squad Composition: 13 Locals (:local:) + 7 Overseas (:os: Full-Member Nations) + 1 Overseas (:os: Associate Nations).
  • You can pick more than 1 Associate if you wish but not more than 7 Full-Member Nation players. Basically, the number of overseas players in any squad is 8 (no more, no less).
  • How a round ends/new round starts? 1. Everyone has made their picks. The next round will start 1 hour after the final pick was made. Incomplete or invalid picks are counted in the round completion. 2. 24 hours has passed since the round started. In this case, the next round will start immediated after the 24 hours have passed.
  • There will be player injuries so try to cover all your bases.
  • General Thumb Rule: Try to keep a mix of in-form players and experienced players. Overall record matters but so does recent form.
  • Not a rule but I will be adding more local players soon to make your jobs easier.
  • Please, please, please try to use the form whenever possible as it makes it easier to keep track of players selected.
  • Also don't forget to tag other members when a round ends/next round begins.

4, just like most leagues in PlanetCricket and in real life

If it is four can we have more locals and less overseas players? Especially with injuries that means you’ll have only three locals on the bench for seven spots while ten overseas players for just four spots. The alternative would be to have more overseas slots allowed in the playing XI which would work well with eight teams involved but that’s up to you.

Ok then how about 1 Associate + 7 Overseas + 13 Locals? 6 Locals and 4 Overseas players on the bench

Types of pitches available

:bwl::down: Damp/Sticky - Massively in favor of bowlers and an absolute nightmare to bat on, unless you're Victor Trumper.
:left::right: Dusty - Plenty of turn on offer for spinners and a good place to bat for spin-savvy batsmen. Good pace bowlers are still likely to thrive.
:ar::up: Evenly balanced - Provides an evenly balanced contest for all disciplines.
:bat::left: Flat - A batsman-friendly pitch which provides little or no assistance to bowlers. Expect big totals.
:bwl::up: Green - A lot of movement on offer early on, which makes it ideal for bowlers capable of swinging the ball. Batting expected to become easier as the match progresses.
:ar::left: Hard - Ideal conditions for batting. Good deal of bounce on offer for fast bowlers as well. Could go either way
:right::left: Dry/Slow - Ideal for slow and spin bowlers as the name suggests. Sometimes quite difficult to bat on.
:down: Poor - Uneven bounce and a huge amount of turn on offer for spinners. Expect a slow hard grind where most batsmen rarely score at above 2 an over.
@TSPrathik @Till Valhalla @Bevab you guys still haven't told me your preferred homeground and pitch type. Pallekele is already taken so I guess you can take the Asgiriya Stadium?
