Why does he not consider Irfan Pathan an all-rounder?

Because he mentioned that you only play 4 bowlers in T20. I think he was talking about batting all-rounders, and saying that you need 2-3 of them in T20. That just means he considers Irfan Pathan as more a bowler than a batter and he would play at #8 if he is selected.

That's what I hate about these press conferences, they never tell you the question at hand.

But back to Irfan, he's a good enough batsman to bat at 7 for me, especially in T20s where all you really need from your #7 is a couple of boundaries at the end of the innings. Would strengthen our bowling as well, an extra specialist bowler could be handy.

Why warm up matches go on even after the official tuornament starts?

I think only India's warm up matches will be shown here. Or only Ind v Pak on 17 Sep.

No clue, but it shouldn't be a big deal though. The only warm-up game that comes after the official start is the one involving England and Pakistan and both the teams don't play their 1st group game till a bit later - England on the 21st and Pakistan on the 23rd.

-Pakistan defeated Australia, with Australia winning the last game by a large margin. Positive for both teams.
