The FM Elimination Challenge (June 2026)

I think I scored the least points there. Hope to do well ahead, just don't want to get eliminated here.

Nope, that dubious award went to Matt for this half-season, and you scored more than Nakul who is in second-last position, but you are still quite a bit away from freedom...

Badda bing, badda boom! That was a top 6 months and great to see me really start to blossom, tbh I think nakul should be sacked at June. He hasn't done any posting.

EDIT: Actually that was a bit harsh.

Wow, Ollie is being payed 8.5M a year while I'm the second top payed and I'm only being payed 3.2M a year.

June, 2013
And then there were eight

User2010 has been the favourite for elimination since last June, and it seemed that he would need a miracle to avoid elimination now. He had a chance after Mattfb got virtually no game time at Everton, instead sitting on the bench as the first choice after Tim Howard, and with Maney2k9 not earning many points at Southampton. However, despite his spirited efforts at Crystal Palace, User2010 finished with 439.97 points, just over 30 points away from safety. He fought back bravely but in the end he was forced to head home, leaving just eight remaining competitors as the FM Elimination Challenge heats up...

Mattfb (GK, Italy)
Club: Everton
League: English Premier League
Player Profile

It was a really poor half-season for Matt, who found himself in the same precarious position that Covvy and The Spin had also found themselves in, although this was slightly different - he was consistently on the bench for Everton, but played in just the one league game throughout the entire year, resulting in him earning hardly any points. From someone sitting in 3rd position for a lot of this competition, he will now be devastated to find himself into 8th position, and he needs to pull it together, quickly.

User2010 (GK, England)
Eliminated: 4th (2013)

Nakul (ST, Spain)
Club: Valladolid
League: Liga BBVA
Player Profile

It ended up being a very solid season for Nakul, who couldn't complain after playing 27 games in the Spanish top flight with Valladolid. He only scored 9 goals but he has earned enough points to keep him sitting comfortably on the ladder and should be alright for at least a year. He didn't feature much for the Spanish youth again though, but he still has an impressive 10 youth goals from 9 youth caps.

MaD (DC/DM/MC, England)
Club: Chelsea
League: English Premier League
Player Profile

MaD dropped one more position to fourth place - but he surely won't mind being safely there too much, as he continues to improve at Chelsea. After holding on to first position for a while a year and a half ago, he has taken a fall from there but still remains in the competition - although, he will want to keep playing and not just remain stagnated in the reserves.

Points: 538.24

Hedger (ST, Sweden)
Club: Juventus
League: Serie A
Player Profile

Hedger again continued to rack up the points at Juventus and hold on to his first position after playing 31 games with 4 of them coming as a substitute and scoring 11 goals, but his lack of Man of the Match awards is slightly worrying as he did not win anyway, compared to Shantanu Rooney who won 6 in just 19 games at Real Madrid. A new challenger has also emerged, with Ollie gaining on him monumentally and he will now be feeling some pressure.

Points: 703.32

Covvy (ST, England)
Eliminated: 2nd (2011)

Ollie H (MC, England)
Club: Manchester City
League: English Premier League
Player Profile

It was another brilliant season for Ollie, as he made a total of 46 competitive appearances and another 2 coming on as a subtitute for Manchester City, who finished 5th in the Premier League. His stats continue to grow and he now looks like a brilliant midfielder - one easily capable of winning some world awards. He also made two more appearances for England, scoring his first ever international goal from the midfield and he is now seriously challenging Hedger.

Points: 675.47

Giggity Giggity (ST, Wales)
Club: West Brom
League: English Premier League
Player Profile

Giggs played a bit more for the West Brom senior team but isn't getting as much action as perhaps he would've liked.. still, he is earning solid points although he continues to drop down the table and now needs a big season to keep himself going strong for 2014. He also didn't make any more appearances for Wales, although they will surely call him back sooner or later.

Points: 501.10

Treva (DC, Russia)
Eliminated: 1st (2010)

The Spin (ST, Switzerland)
Eliminated: 3rd (2012)

Maney2k9 (ST/ML, Ireland)
Club: Southampton
League: Coca-Cola Championship
Player Profile

Maney decided to stay at Southampton again, a move that looks like it could be a foolish one as despite the game-time that he is getting, he is simply not earning enough points and he finds himself now in second-last position, knowing that if Matt gets senior games at Everton he could be in real trouble. His loyalty is almost costing him, although the sheer fact that he plays so many games for Southampton is keeping him alive, and he is a well respected member of their first team.

Points: 485.08

Shantanu Rooney (ST, Germany)
Club: R. Madrid
League: Liga BBVA
Player Profile

Shantanu Rooney really hit his stride as the goal scoring machine found his way into Real Madrid's first team and dominated the league, scoring a brilliant 16 goals in 19 appearances, earning 6 MOTM awards as well as an average rating of 7.85 for Madrid. He is really starting to earn serious points now, and if only he actually visited the game thread then maybe he could change his nationality in order to get some more caps...

Well Im still in first. 15 goals in 20 International appearances is really good. Contracts still running for another 2 years so I wont have to worry about that just yet.
