whatever, but i think there is not any bowling attack in the world that can stop australian batsman to score runs. they got :-

Gilchrist
Hayden
Ponting
Symonds
Hussey
Clarke

Clarke doesn't play in the Tests, but he is in form lately. I wonder if Martyn will get a chance or Katich will play again.

martyn is better then katich in some situations, so martyn has to play in one days, and about clarke i think he will also play one days.

Katich won't play again,he's had enough chances and really hasn't performed to an acceptable standerd. I agree with y2j about Aus's batting line-up.When they get going knowone can stop them.

Well, just looking at the six names he posted I wouldn't be in Sri Lankan or South African shoes. All of these players are class players, including Martyn. And the bowlers aren't even named here. But actually a matter of being in form. Ponting and Hussey are certainly in form now, since they've been getting runs consistently. A bit can be said also about Hayden.

Would be interesting seeing how Hayden would go in the test arena if hes selected for ODIs as that seemed to make him in both forms of the game.
Jaques is the other option I would like to see replace Katich. His ING form this year has been awesome.

lets see what will happen . . .

Here is the Australian squad for the VB Series.

Australia squad Ricky Ponting (capt), Adam Gilchrist (wk), Simon Katich, Damien Martyn, Michael Clarke, Michael Hussey, Andrew Symonds, James Hopes, Brad Hogg, Brett Dorey, Brett Lee, Nathan Bracken, Glenn McGrath, Stuart Clark

Dorey handed Australia call for VB Series

Well done Brett Dorey, very tall, he has been in great form, so well done to the young lad.

Well he is a good bowler, but mayeb it is a bit reactionary.......there are prolly other bowlers who have strived and performed for longer, and they SHOULD be given a chance.

I'd bet on South Africa to shade a final against the Aussies 2-1. South Africa have an ideal squad for ODI's with plenty of flexible players. Australia are always relying on Symonds and Co for a fifth bowler, whereas SAF have Kallis (if fit.) Sri Lanka will struggle as they are in a transitional period, but I don't see the Aussies winning it. They struggled against England, who by all accounts are a poor One Day side. Good opposition like South Africa and Sri Lanka will be a sterner challenge. It depends on what type of pitches are served up as well. But if Kallis plays, SAF will walk the finals.

jeez what shance have sri lanka got?? NONE there getting smashed by NZ

btw why sisnt L Klusener in the ODI side anymore?

Australia will win the vb series pretty easily.
I think they will only lose 1 game to South Africa.

Im glad Martyn is in the squad.
