Cricket is done a service by the IPL money teams being knocked out. :)

They should alternate where its held every year.

Quick question, why were there 3 IPL teams and only 1 from NZ, WI and SRI? I thought the top 2 domestic sides from each country play. Its a bit silly to see 3 IPL teams and only 1 from certain country and no Pakistanis.

Well...if there are not enough Indian teams, not many people will buy tickets to watch the matches and that will result in a huge financial loss!
Forget about Pakistan!
No way a Pakistani player will ever visit India again...

After Otago's performance this year, we will struggle to even get one team next year!

Well I was under the impression this was supposed to be a contest to find the best domestic 2020 team, not to entertain the local indian crowds. How naiive of me.

It seems there was not much interest in this tournament anyways, doubt it will be as big as the IPL or even as consistent. Would anyone really be surprised if they scrapped this experiment in a year or two?

This embarassment could ensure that this experiment doesnt last long. It has been so boring with almost no interest (except for a few matches which were followed by fans of a particular player)

Maybe not to some of the spectators but it means a lot to domestic players. Just look at T&T they were preparing it for the last 3-4 months. Most of the teams play in front of empty crowd anyways. Remember its a domestic T20 competition. Some of the players wont even get a chance to represent their national teams this is the only opportunity. I am happy for them.;)

What about Sussex and Someset both had 2-3 international players from other countries? Do you know that? How is it different from any IPL team then? :sarcasm

Sussex and Somerset are nothing like the money teams.

:laughThen what are they? Cartoon teams?
The IPL teams have been thrown together with nothing but cash. Sussex, Somerset and in fact every other team in the tournament has been built over time and with development.
