Yeah he does have a very good point. The threads are pointless. The comparisons are silly and the threads just start arguements. But then again, not all threads will do that and some are serious comparisons that have good arguements.

IMO threads like Dhoni vs Bradman, Dhoni vs KP e.t.c should be closed as because members are comparing young players(who haven't made big achivements) with Legends like Bradman, Lara and so on. If this type of thread are created in future the threads should be closed immedieatly IMO. Now its all up to the Mods.

I agree with tom (for the first time) everyone has right to state his view and i think isn't a forums made for the same ? what ths use if there are no threads ro disucc about?

i say again some comparison really are irritating but i found it's the nationality issues here what harm if we compare KP >Dhoni or etc? i dont find KP as great as Lara Sachin or Sir it's a viewpoint

I like the player vs player threads, it just sometimes gets out of hand because most of the time lately it's been a subcontinent player vs an Aussie or English player etc.

No it wasn't. It was me showing Precamb that his KP vs Dhoni comparison was completely factuous and unfair. His argument for Dhoni being better than Pietersen consisted of him naming positions in the team that KP hasn't filled, and because Pietersen doesn't wicket-keep, that made Dhoni the better player. Then when the subject turned to batting and I provided stats to prove that Dhoni's batting in ODi's was not better than Pietersen's, he ignored them. Hence the starting of the Bradman vs Dhoni thread, just to prove what a factuous method of comparing players he'd come up with! I'd have had no problem if he'd compared he players fairly and come up with some salient facts to back those points up, he didn't.

That is exactly what I said it just wasn't in the form of a euphemism, as yours is.

Still, tempers are flying as it is, no need to provoke arguments due to someone not agreeing with you. Just my 2 cents.

And for spectators, they'll be having a great show of fights, stupidity, pointlessness, lows and shamelessness of people, all for free! (excluding the worth-paying money for the internet) but well, some people get indulged into unnecessary arguments which lead to nowhere and get others/themselves thrashed by no sincerity which is just another way to pour some more fuel into already scorching threads. Just leave them, I used to get pinched and enraged by some comments, but their meaninglessness would just bring us down and make us act like a beast. If everyone can just not bother about those threads, then there will be no one to argue in the thread, eventually.

I was wondering is there really any need for a Hindi Music Thread, Punjabi Songs Thread, Tamil Music/Movie Thread and an Indian Singers Thread. Can't they just all go in the Music thread? Are we soon going to be seeing a "Muse" or "Kasabian" thread? Because then the entertainment forum will just become way too cluttered.
