Sri Lankan players attacked in Pakistan?!

It's amazing how close the umpires came from dying as well. Simon Taufel and Steve Davis were in the car that was attacked. The 4th umpire got shot in the chest and the driver died. Over here they've talked about David, but there has hardly been a word about Taufel, and he's the best in the world.

We had just barely gotten over the way sections of the media exploited the bushfires and almost like clockwork there is something else to be disappointed in. The headlines are basically like

Muttiah Muralitharan has questioned whether the terrorists who perpetrated Tuesday's attack on the Sri Lankans had received inside information as to the team's movements. In a chilling account of the Lahore shootout, Murali said the precise timing of the attack suggested the terrorists could have been tipped off about timing and security arrangements.

"Somehow in this incident there were no police with guns on the bus," Murali told Australian radio. "If someone was there with a gun we would have had a chance of defending ourselves. Normally all the buses go and we have four or five escorts.

Yeah seems interesting.Even as King cricket posted some posts ago,the bus route was changed at the last minute.How did the terrorists got to know the change in route?
Moreover the pakistan team were still in the team hotel.

The worst thing about this is that because Sri Lanka is a friend of Pakistan and generally regarded as no threat of terrorists etc. no one expected this to happen - now it has, it just goes to show that no one is safe and heaven forbid any English or Australian teams going there for some time. Well the whole scenario looks really suspicious. Here let me put it again.

1)Generally, both teams bus travel together from hotel to the stadium. But on that day, pakistani players somehow decided to sleep a little longer and thus their bus got delayed.

2) Then after the attack the younis khan was not even shocked in the press conference. He was all bubbly and laughing:.

3)Murali said on cricinfothat the SL teams route to the stadium was changed at the last moment. How come terrorist knew bout this change of route.

4)Then during attack there were not even a single armed policeman in the bus where there are allways 1 or 2 even in normal conditions.

5)During the attack the security forces left the umpires on their own(Chris broad said that).

6)Noone suspected 12 terrorist carrying bomns and machine guns inside such a busy market of lahore??

Point 2,3,4 somehow indicate that the security forces and pakistan team were involved in this all ****. Terrorist tipped pakistanis to stay at the hotel so that they wont be caught in the gunfire meant for SL, then the security is reduced from the team bus to minmize the pakistani casualty, then someone in the security forces tipped them bout the change of route of the SL bus. A godamn conspiracy. I am not being selfish but i thank god that indian govt stooped the team from touring pakistan earlier this year.
Coming back to point 6, well if pakistani say that they cannot trace 12 terrorists carrying ammunition in the busy public places then hiow come they clame the top level security. Mumbai attack was in the night thus there werent much polics force on ground duty, terrorists cames via sea on a boat thus were hard to trace. But unlike pakistan India killed all the terrorists and captured one alive. Pakistanis should have atleast caught one?.


P.S: I am not being insensitive her but after watching the CCTV tape of terrorists on news,first thaough came in mind was " They are Playing GTA 4 in real life, thats tweaking sick"

Really am struggling to not react to this. So you are suggesting that Younis Khan is now a terroist/conspires with terrorists? Wow, daily I get more and more shocked by people on this forum

i didnt said that younis is a terrorist. I said that Pakistan team mightbe tipped by terrorist to stay at the hotel . If you look at the odds of a team suddenly delaying its departure and then the other team geting caught up in a terrorist attak even after the route was changed at the last moment, then you would als osense something there.
Anyway none of you can deny that there was someone in security forces involved who tipped the terrorist bout the changed route

Once again, Pakistani team isnt a terrorist, but they might be informed beforehand to stay at hotel just in case...

There were no armed policeman in the bus escorting team. Doesnt that ring some bell guys??? in a tour like this there should have been atleast 4 or 5 policeman all the time in the bus.

I thought I heard from a news report that the 4th umpire died?
Seeing the news video yesterday and seeing exactly what happened for such a planned attack the execution was really poor which prevented a serious disaster from occurring.
