BCCI Has announced SL itunerary
Kolkata's isolation as an international cricketing centre is over.
The historic Eden Gardens ground will be hosting its first international match later this season after a gap of two years when India and Sri Lanka clash in a one-day international.
Internal squabbling within the BCCI had meant that the Cricket Association of Bengal, which is headed by former BCCI and ICC boss Jagmohan Dalmiya, was denied international games by the faction that is in power at the moment.
However, there seems to have been a softening of stand.
The three Test matches will be held in Mumbai, Kanpur and Ahmedabad for the series that starts as soon as Australia's one-day tour wraps up on November 11.
Kolkata will host one of the five one-dayers in the series. The other venues are Cuttack, Rajkot, Vishakhapatnam and Delhi.
The two Twenty20 internationals will be played in Mohali and Nagpur. The dates for the series would be confirmed later.
