Shastri still boasting about England series :facepalm.
Bhuvi's wife, Nupur NAGAR, upset with shastri/kohli on forcing her husband to play 3rd odi vs ENG when Kumar was not physically fit.she threatening to sue BCCI

I will not blame Nupur because both REAL PAIR (v & s) insist for yoyo test for everyone for all format why they become so selfish on Kumar's fitness?

I think Liton deserved the benefit of the doubt. Good game overall.

So as few have mentioned here are some questions

1. Is Ambati Raydu the player to go to? I think he is another ordinary MEN IN BLUE player who will play exceptionally well otherwise.
2. MS Dhoni - Sad but I really think either he bats up or is not in the team. Although he did play decently he was no where close to winning the match for us.
3. KL Rahul should be taking the place of Raydu for sure.
4. Kedar Jadav though got wickets at crucial interval he is not the Jadhav he was bought for. Have not seen a single meaningful innings from him. Plus his knack of getting injured is the only thing he is consistent at.

My idea lineup would be

1. Shikhar Dhawan
2. Rohit Sharma
3. KL Rahul
4. Virat Kohli
5. M.S Dhoni
6. Dinesh Kartick/Raina/Pandey/Jadhav/Someone else
7. Hardik Pandya
8. Ravi Jadeja/ Chahal
9. Kuldeep Yadav/Chahal
10. Bhuvneshwar Kumar
11. Jasprit Bumrah

For me Number 6 and 7 is really dicey. Cannot believe we do not have anyone.

Sweet win, never really thought it'd be that close. Bangladesh played well but lacked sportsman spirit as usual, they really need to behave on field if they want people to take them seriously.

And kudos to all those who voted for India. :D

One good thing about the current team management including Shastri is they've given chances to a lot of youngsters, earlier it used to take ages for players to play for India.

I don't think Dhoni should go to the World Cup in England. He was the Man in 2011. Been a long time since then.

The thing is that Dhoni is not in the team only for his batting. If he was in this team only for his batting, he would have been dropped by now and this is despite him being one of the modern greats of Indian cricket. Dhoni is still in the team because of him being probably one of the sharpest mind in the world cricket. I don't think I have seen someone who is tactically as strong as him in the recent past. Even though Kohli and Rohit are captaining the side, we all see who is making most of the decisions on the field. Also his keeping is as sharp as it has been and I don't see even anyone in domestic who can challenge him for that spot. So it is the whole package that comes in when you include Dhoni in the team. This decline of him started back in late 2014 in a home series against WI but he has never looked as bad as he is looking right now.

I still don't have any doubt that he will be there for the WC. However, I don't think we can expect too much from him in the batting department anymore. I will be more than happy to be proved wrong.

TBH, he has only batted thrice in the tournament. One was against Hong Kong when he was not out at the end. Second was against Afghanistan where he got run out and 3rd time was today where I would say he did play a crucial inning. If you ask me, I think he has pretty much sealed that number 6 spot if he is not injured. He can give you those 4-5 overs in the middle and of course has the ability to bat well with the tail.

The problem is that our top order is so good that most of the time our middle order will be untested. The question that we came in the tournament with are still there. We haven't answered any question apart from maybe number 6 spot which as I said I think has been sealed by Jadhav for now. We tried Raydu, Karthik and gave them a consistent go but I didn't see any conviction in the way they played. Raydu did play very well in that Afghanistan game when he opened but as soon as he came at number 3, he looked a bit lost. That England tour has shaken Karthik's confidence a lot I feel. Manish Pandey was given one chance and he failed in it. Rahul did bat well in that one chance that he got and he is such a good player to leave out. So I would definitely bat Rahul at 3 and move Kohli at 4 followed by Dhoni and Jadhav.

What’s this about the naagins?

Nagin is a female snake and very much popular in Asia. In his debut match, bangladeshi player Nazmul Islam Apu (KalaMia) add nagin dance moves in his celebration against Srilanka and rest is history. Bangladeshi fans enjoying this saga.
