4. Kedar Jadav though got wickets at crucial interval he is not the Jadhav he was bought for. Have not seen a single meaningful innings from him. Plus his knack of getting injured is the only thing he is consistent at.
TBH, he has only batted thrice in the tournament. One was against Hong Kong when he was not out at the end. Second was against Afghanistan where he got run out and 3rd time was today where I would say he did play a crucial inning. If you ask me, I think he has pretty much sealed that number 6 spot if he is not injured. He can give you those 4-5 overs in the middle and of course has the ability to bat well with the tail.
The problem is that our top order is so good that most of the time our middle order will be untested. The question that we came in the tournament with are still there. We haven't answered any question apart from maybe number 6 spot which as I said I think has been sealed by Jadhav for now. We tried Raydu, Karthik and gave them a consistent go but I didn't see any conviction in the way they played. Raydu did play very well in that Afghanistan game when he opened but as soon as he came at number 3, he looked a bit lost. That England tour has shaken Karthik's confidence a lot I feel. Manish Pandey was given one chance and he failed in it. Rahul did bat well in that one chance that he got and he is such a good player to leave out. So I would definitely bat Rahul at 3 and move Kohli at 4 followed by Dhoni and Jadhav.
