just thought i'd correct that common mis-conception..

But India will be remembered as the first team to win an international world Twenty20 championship. Not much difference between a World Cup and a "World 20-20 championship". Just the country where they will be played is going to be different.

Lot of people still refer to this one as the "World Cup for 20-20"

Yes, I have noticed that too. But that being said, Pakistan did attempt to blitz the total early on but wickets pegged them down too much.

I was about to say the same thing. The same thing happen to Australia as well. They got to 174 while they faltered to hold their nerve in the end.

Pakistan might have won had it been any other team than India. It's really different when Pakistan plays India in any big tournament. The pressure really got to them.

Umar Gul was fantastic to watch. He bowled " spot-on " throughout in today's match. After India being 80+ in first 11 overs, i expected another 100 but full credits to Pakistan bowlers who did their job fantastic. I lost hopes after seeing the target of 158.

RP Singh... I was simply unbelievable. His accuracy was terrific. Nazir's runout was a turning point in my opinion. Pathan's variation was fantastic too. Bhaji was bit unlucky but all the bowlers did their job greatly. Those 5 6s in 10 balls really costed the game for India almost but in the end, India did it!

I don't think it was wrong in attempting that shot which was the final wicket. Infact, Uthappa won the game for us in England by playing so many like that and especially, when the fielder is close, its always tempting to go over him for a boundary. What a close finish.. what a close match... " Thats India-Pakistan for you ", says Ravi Shastri too.

So, India is the ICC TT World Champions. Once again, brilliant captaincy by Dhoni. He made many crucial decisions in cruical as well as in right time too. Simply brilliant!

Felt very sad when Dhoni told,

I have to agree.. Even me, who had no trust in Indian bowlers, was shocked and suprised and excited to see this happening.

Both the teams played well ( both the team's bowlers in particular ). And hearty hearty congrads to India! :hpraise

And ya, Pakistan is yet to win India in the World Cups.. Better luck in next series vs SA if i remember rightly.

but credit must be given to Malik and Lawson how they gelled a group of players together..
