I have a nasty feeling that finding what is needed for this will prove more difficult than finding the c++ programmers at the start of the project. Hopefully you will prove me wrong... :D

All 3D modeling will be done in 3D Studio Max. We will need:

- A person to model the players and umpires, plus player equipment like helmets, hats, bats, clothing and other apparel.
- People to animate those models.
- One or two people to help me with the stadiums and peripheral objects like stumps etc.

We will need to get started on these fairly soon, as they will need to be ready for the testing of the 3D engine, and so I can start organising the texture mappers (which I did in arse about fashion by starting that thread first  ).

Usual procedure applies, let us know in here what you can do, and then add me to your MSN Messenger contacts using [email protected] (remove the NOSPAM).

I played the game "Revolt", and looked up a Revolt forum, I found that on there, there were quite a few modelers on there, creating cars and stuff. Maybe you could browse some other forums, not just CRICKET and ask for there help there?

I'm like you motorv8ed, I have 3ds Max 6 but, have no idea what I'm doing. I have Bryce 5, TrueSpace and some open source one as well. I have used Poser 4, but don't have it anymore.

I would love to work on the models, but have a severe lack of knowledge when it comes to 3ds Max...anyone got a pdf manual? Or links to some basic tutorials?

http://www.3dtotal.com/team/Tutorials/fiat500/fiat500.asp - shows how to model a car, but if you put in views of a cricketer you'll get the same idea.
http://www.cgtalk.com/ - a great forum. There is a team projects forum, so if you posted there for help on this game you might get some people who could model for you. (If you have a look at the finished 3D work, some of it is marvelous!)

This should keep you busy for a while :)
