Afl 2008

Such a shame the Dream Team lost. I was in love with their forward line:
Franklin, Pavlich, Mooney, Burton, Richo, Leon
Eagles should trade the house for it.

And a huge shame about Kerr (splayed bones in his ankle) and Josh Fraser (PCL) who will both miss a few weeks.

And my views on State of Origin... they should just have a post-season tournament with WA, SA, VIC and the ALLIES.

post season is no good
once the finals are over players are ready for the break an look forward to getting completely away from football.

Needs to be a true state of origin
WA,Vic,SA etc
Anywhere between round 11-18
not every year but maybe every 2 or even 4

With state pride on the line u can bet SA or WA would play with alot more intensity than that dreamteam put in it was just a team of stars out there to showoff an hopefully win.

If an of you are old enough to gamble go put $20 or $50 on fremantle to beat the western bulldogs.

Went down to training today an i sense another typical freo performance
looks like they were put through alot of running excercises and then when they did some man on man practice they were very intense hard at the man an etc.

Theye been slammed in the media, there pride etc has been questioned.
There against a undefeated team they always rise to these occasions an win when not expected.

Man I hate Fremantle. I'm from Perth and love our footy, and as much as I want to support Freo and how much I hope they'll be successful, they've been in the competition for 13 years, have played in 2 finals, and are still one the most inconsistent teams in the competition.

A few years ago, I would've said they had one of the most talented lists on paper, but continually failed to perform, much like their Victorian counterpart in St Kilda. They finished 3rd in 2006, their highest position to date, but failed to perform in the finals, winning just one. The fact that they finished that high on the ladder, and are always in the top five betting odds to win the premiership each season is an indiciation of how talented they really are.

But then they decided that they'd be a better club if they recruited the ageing players from other clubs, including Dean Solomon, Jarrod Schofield and Mark Johnson. Don't get me wrong, Solomon has had some influence on the team, but Schofield played 12 games for them in two years, due to injuries most likely incurred by ageing muscles, and Mark Johnson who, after being dubbed an important part of their team at the start of the year, has played just two games for Freo so far.

Connoly should have got the flick before he traded them all in. Now Freo are rooted again.
