Story Australia's 2007 World Cup Journey (ICC 3)

Hey there guys, after a while away from the Gaming Section on Planetcricket, i have decided to come back and try one more time. This time it will be played on ICC 3, and Australia are forthtaking the 2007 World Cup held in the West Indies.

Australia will need to take part in 3 Group Matches, before it can get into the Final 8. Australia will have to face on the 14th March, Scotland, which is a group stage match.
Then on the 18th of March, Australia faces the Netherlands, and then on the 24th will be the last Group Match that Australia faces, and that will be against tough opponent in South Africa.

2 winnable games their for the Aussies, but the last match against South Africa will be a tough one to call. My tip, is Australia to win all 3 Group Matches, make it into the final 8, and then it will be Australia vs New Zealand in the Final.

Australia kicks start World Cup Campagin​

Australia and Scotland will hit the park today in their opening World Cup Matches. The Australians have come in hot favourites for the Tournament, but dont rule out anyone just yet. The competition has just started, anything can happen, injuries, form and more.

The Australians have come into the World Cup with a healthy squad. Michael Hussey, Matthew Hayden, Ricky Ponting, Michael Clarke, Shane Watson, Adam Gilchrist, Brad Hodge, Andrew Symonds, Stuart Clark, Shaun Tait, Glenn McGrath will be their opening 11 for the match against Scotland.
Brad Haddin, Brad Hogg, Nathan Bracken and Mitchell Johnson will be the back ups for the World Cup Group Matches.

Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist and Glenn McGrath are the Veteran's on the Australian list, with all players playing over 200 matches. They will be important to players like, Shaun Tait, and Brad Hodge who have played less the 10 matches.

Now lets go down to the Ground and see about the conditions.
Well the conditions are very good down here. This morning will be a sunny start to the day. But expect some cloud to come late in the Afternoon, but that wont effect any rain or wind, so we should be right on that part. For the pitch, the bounce is very good, really good for quick bowlers, and with Scotland bowling 1st, they would want their quicks to trouble Australian openers with a few bouncers.
A little bit trouble for spinners, infact very poor for spinners. So you would expect most wickets to come early.

10 Overs gone.​

10 Overs have gone in the Australia vs Scotland World Cup match, and with Australian opening, Scotland will be looking to get them out as quickly as possible.

With Matthew Hayden and Michael Hussey opening the Batting for Australia, it is going to be a difficult job for the Scot's to bring down the Aussies.
Hoffman opened the bowling for Scotland, and with his partner Hamilton, both looked likely to bring up a wicket, but after 10 overs, it couldn't be done. Both Hoffman and Hamilton have bowled 5 overs each, with Hamilton being targeted by Hayden, who has hit 3 fours from Hamilton's bowling. Hamilton has given away 20 runs going at 4 runs per over. Hoffman has been more accurate, bowling 5 overs and only going for 6 runs.

Hamilton has been at the end of some good shots from Hayden mainly, as he hit 2 fours earily in the piece, to set the standard. Hayden, played both shots through the middle of the bat, and sounded nice of the face of the bat. The ball went through the middle of fielders, so Hayden looked on show from the beginning.

Hayden just a few balls later, choose the same shot, but put the ball down the ground, and it went away for another 4. Hayden was on the end of some bad bowling from Hamilton, and Hamilton was also bowling some wides, and giving away leg byes to the Australian's. Hayden made the most of the bad bowling, and capatalized on the mistakes from Scotland.

Australia got off to a good start in this one day match against the Scot's. No wickets have been taken, so Matthew Hayden and Michael Hussey are still at the crease, and with 10 overs gone, are in a pretty good postion.
Hayden like we said, has started off on fire. Is not out on 18, hitting only the 1 four, but 2 have come off the pad and gone for 4 aswell, so that counts. Hayden has faced only 22 balls.
Michael Hussey has faced more balls from the Scot's facing 38 balls, but a bit slower then Hayden has been, only making 8 runs for the 1st 10 overs. Hussey has also hit a 4, and it was a good strike on the back foot.
Australia are 30/0 after 10 overs, so are looking in a good position. And with Ponting and Clarke next coming in, things look difficult for Scotland.

Yeah well i actually realized the bottom picture is Michael Hussey. So both men have hit a boundary. Stay tuned, next 10-15 overs coming soon.
