They're not technically ODIs, just normal one day games. Namibia don't have ODI status.

They didn't tour in WC2003 and their players are in general, very reluctant to tour Zimbawe for security reasons.

Also, all matches of Asia Cup were given official status, it may be the case in England v Namibia as well.

No it's not.

ODI status is given to any match between two full members of the ICC, or a full member and Kenya. It is also given to any match in a multi-nations tournament where the majority of teams are ICC full members, eg. World Cup, Asia Cup or Champion's Trophy.

This isn't part of a multi-nations tournaments, Namibia aren't a full member or Kenya.

If these are given ODI status I'll give every member of the forum 1000 pounds.

I think we should have a collection, see how much we get and try and bribe the ICC to give Namibia ODI status. We'd all get our money back and alot more.

And Stevie, you asked why not Ashley Giles? Simple. Because he's one of the most stupid cricketers I've seen. You sometimes wonder whether he has a brain in his head or not. He's bowled crap for donkey's years, never gets kicked out the team, has a good summer and is then a hero! My new most hated man in the side now that Hussain's left and people are making him a hero! :crying

Atleast with the Aussies coming next year we know it can't last.
