After all the hype and excitement of the Ashes gets over, we have 2 huge series coming up for England against the Asian giants Pakistan and India in the subcontinent . 2 long but important tours for the team ranked No.2 in the world .
I would like to ask our forum members how they rate English chances in the 2 series .
Also, When did England last beat India in India and Pakistan in Pakistan or even draw a series (just wanted to know) ?
Also which players do you think will be the biggest threat to the England side in the 2 series ?
Will Flintoff,Pietersen and Co be able to withstand the pressure exerted by Kumble, Harbhajan and Kaneria with close-in fielders on turning tracks ?
I know India V England is 4 months away but Iam very excited about the series !

I feel India and Pak could both win the series. The Indian tour will be extremely tough for them as it doesn't take much seam or swing bowling. If the Indians hit form they will be tough to beat. Pak will be a bit easier as their pitches are more suited to pace bowling.

Pakistan will be easy for england but i dont think they'll pull it off against india in the tests.India are very hard to beat at home in the tests.
Many may argue that aussies beat india and since england defeated aus...they'll be able to pull it off against india too.
I think the ODI's can go well in englands favour with the likes of peitersen, strauss and flintoff but the tests would be really exciting.

I wouldn't write of Pakistan. They have always been hit and miss but when you have a guy as quick as Ahktar you always have a chance. He will need to hit form but if he does watch out.

england may have defeated australia, but the bottom line is tht was a home series win guys...
it's a totally diff ball game away frm home and in oppressive conditions..
though paks are not in the greatest of form themselves at home...but due to the fact that its a home series and also takin into account the climate and dusty pitches,i sorta pip pakis to do the trick.

i know one thing for sure , India and Pakistan will have all the aussie support ever dreamt of !

Last time England beat Pakistan in Pakistan was 2000, the last time they toured.

Last time England beat India in India was 1984/85

same, interesting name 'SUB' see if they use that cheat over there also

lol you said that when aus toured you, i think we know the result of that

Both series will be interesting, but India will find it harder seeing they haven't been on form for awhile.
