Gileo will do ok, he will be in the team, and I wouldnt be suprised to see him pick up 20+ wickets in the 6 tests we play against india and pakkistan.

Giles has been a pretty shrewd bowler though not world class at all! He should get support from another spinner so that they can display their wares against India on their pitches!

angryangy said:Giles, in my opinion shouldn't even make this tour, he is a hopeless liability, when you recall India can make even Warne or Murali look average.

GO INDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tendulkar coped well enough to score 103 and 90. Giles bowled one good innings where he took 3 tailenders cheaply.Steve Moore said:Giles did remarkedly well over the wicket in India last time. Even Tendulkar couldn't cope. His performance will be a vital factor in the series
It's like low grade body line. It's not particularly clever, because (as if you couldn't tell) one doesn't get many wickets by it. In essence it just pushes a game closer and closer towards no result.JamesyJames3 said:negative? id describe that as good bowling. if you can frustrate a batsmen into giving their wicket away thats clever.

For that five-fer innings he averaged 13. For the 3 innings he bowled in the series, he averaged 33. Sense the trend over a longer series?

Look its clever not wrong, accept it!!
angryangy said:How is it clever? He averages 38!
angryangy said:I think the bottom line is that India play pace bowling a lot better than England play spin. It won't be so much that the tracks turn, moreso that they are slow and the English pacemen should be forced to toil long and hard in the hot and humid conditions. By the way, Warne averaged 30 in India last year. Although it was far from his best, it was hardly a failure.
Which reminds me, WTF do the ACB have against Stuart MacGill?
