Expert Cop Mafia (aka Dethy) is a pretty unique setup for a Mafia game. 4 Cops and 1 Mafia Goon battle it out. A few games of this setup have already been played on PC. If you are unsure of the game play mechanics, as they say on cooking TV, here are some examples that were prepared earlier:
Mafia Wins = 4
Town Wins = 4
Here's all the setup information and game mechanics and the like. If you are familiar with Dethy there probably isn't much in it you need to know, but anyway
SETUP
Expert Cop Mafia is an open setup game of 5 players. Four of whom are cops with different sanities and the last is a Mafia.
Roles
Mafia Goon - Goal is to kill everyone else. Mafia must kill one person during each night phase with the exception of Night 0, which is a cop head start.
And the Cops - the cops all have the same goal, to find and lynch the mafia goon. Each cop may investigate another player during each night phase. The result of these investigations will be determined by their sanity.
Sane Cop - aka normal cop. Will return a correct result.
Insane Cop - Will return the opposite result.
Paranoid Cop - Will return a mafia result.
Naive Cop - Will return a town result.
Timings
Timings are not rigid. Days will last until there is a majority decision. No Lynch is an option for the town. Nights will last for at least 24 hours.
Mechanics
Game starts Night 0
Cops sanity is not revealed upon death.
Town may lynch a player, by majority vote, each day.
The vote that creates a majority is a guillotine on votes.
