Match 1:
ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Finals, Edgebaston.
India Versus South Africa

Is He Fitting In Dada's Shoes?!​

This was the game the Indians were waiting for, a World Cup win! After 33 years, India tasted a WC win. South Africa had batted first after winning the toss. South Africa, after a good start, had put up a 271 on the board after 50 overs. The top scorers for the Africans were AB De Villiers who scored 92, Roelof Van Der Merwe with 57 and Andre Williams with 43. And for India, it was Ashoke Dinda who took 3-34 and Ravindra Jadeja with figures of 3-49. India started off decently and it looked like India could take away the game. But Parnell's 5 wicket haul brought the Africans back into the game! At the end of the day, India won it with Captain Raina scoing magnificent 106! The other scorers were Rohit Sharma who scored 51 and Gautam Gambhir who scored 49. Parnell's figures looked impressive with 5-50 and Paul Adams with 2- 46. That game was won by India with 2 wickets in hand and with another over to spare.


Match 2:
The National Bank Series 2012, 4th ODI at Napier
South Africa Versus NewZealand

His absence will be felt very badly after his retirement! ​

This was the game which was also mentioned earlier. South Africa broke their own record of highest ODI total. It was the 4th ODI when South Africa had already sealed the series. South Africa batted first and scored a mammoth of a total, 451-8! Jacques Kallis scored 118, Herschelle Gibbs scored 104 and Amla came up with 101! Bowlers got wickets but couldnt break the partnerships in the first 40 overs. Kyle Mills was the only bowler who had good figures of 3-55 & all the other men went out to be expensive. In reply, New Zealand didnt even come up with a fight as they just scored 141! Brendon McCullum scored 51 and all others failed! Kallis was the Man Of The Match with figures of 4-19 and a century! This match also made another record of a win with the highest margin. South Africa won by 310 runs!

Cool&Cool Cup 2012, 3rd ODI at Peshawar
Pakistan Versus India

Came In Like A Tornado, & Goes Back In The Same Fashion!​

India had already won the first two ODIs of the series and it was do or die time of Pakistan. Pakistan had won the toss and the decided to bowl first. Afridi had annouced retirement from all forms of Cricket after this ODI and this one was a pretty memorable one for him. He went back just as he came in! India went out to bat and just scored 241. Sehwag top scored with 101 and others just got good starts with Gambhir scoring 43, Dhoni and Yuvi with 34 each. Riaz was on the top with 4-29! Razzaq and Ajamal shared a couple each. With just 242 to chase, Pakistan's top order failed completely with 135-5 in 37 overs! Mohammad Hafeez and Shahid Afridi were the last pair of batters. Hafeez lost his wicket on 71 and it was Afridi till the end as he scored 99 off 45 with 9 sixes and 5 fours. Unfortunately, fell 1 short of the three figure mark but still it was Pakistan who won by 3 wickets. Zaheer Khan led with the ball with the figures of 3-33. Afridi, was declared the MOTM.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, Group Stage Match at Bangalore
West Indies Versus Zimbabwe.

What A Man!​

The Windies started as clear favourites in this game against Zimbabwe. Windies won the toss, elected to bat and batted with their eyes closed! They started of with a 154 run stand between Gayle and Devon Smith. Smith lost his wicket on 77 and Gayle continued, and continued till the end! He had almost overthrown Sachin's 200 record but fell six short! He scored 194 and the team reached 389. Just 4 wickets fell and it was Price, who clinched 2 of them. Windies bundled the Zimbabweans for 177 with Taylor scoring 93. Edwards got a 5 wicket haul and Gayle won the MOTM.

New Zealand To Tour Pakistan​

New Zealand Cricket Board [NZCB] & the Pakistan Cricket Board [PCB] had an meeting on the first morning of the Year 2020 and it was decided that New Zealand Cricket team will have a short tour of Pakistan before they go to the inaugral Commonwealth Bank Cup*. This will be a short tour without any Test or 50 over ODI as they have to go to Australia on 18th of January. New Zealand will play 3 T20s & 1 ODI* in Pakistan. And after the Commonwealth Bank Cup, Pakistan might tour New Zealand for some games. The fixtures were announced and the venues were: Karachi and Lahore. Both the boards will be annoucing the squads later in the evening. Below are the fixtures which were announced after the meet.

First T20 On 7th of January 2020 at Karachi Stadium.

Second T20 On 8th of January 2020 at Karachi Stadium.

Third T20 On 10th of Janauary 2020 at Lahore Stadium.

ODI Fixtures:
First & Only ODI On 12th January at Lahore Stadium.

After the announcement of all the matter of fixtures, etc, it was said that the squads will be announced later in the evening. Pakistan Cricket Board along with Aamer had a meet and at 19:30, the squad was announced. The NZCB said that the squad will be announced on the next day i.e. on 2nd of January. Team Review:
ODI team is almost the same as the t20 side unless the inclusion of Hossain Rizwan and Shahzaib. Rizwan Ahmed's inclusion can be questioned as Fawad Ali was a better choice. No surprises with Aamer as Captain there. Xavier Karim is an exciting player and he a youngster to look out for! This team looks young but isnt! almost 8 of the players have an experience of 4 years! Azhar, Asad, the Umars and the Shahids were in as usual. The overall team looks young, strong and they are ready to blast!
