IC10 Quadrangular Tournament

Participants are going to be CaptainOZ, Mark, dutchad (unconfirmed), and myself. CaptainOZ will be India, Mark will be New Zealand, dutchad will be England (unconfirmed), and I will be Pakistan.

Fixtures will be (I think):

1st ODI – Pakistan v New Zealand - Auckland : Pakistan & New Zealand both wish to field first

2nd ODI – India v England(?) - Lord's: India would field first

3rd ODI – England(?) v Pakistan (D/N) - Karachi : Pakistan would bat first

4th ODI – New Zealand v India (D/N) - Kolkata : India would bat first

5th ODI – India v Pakistan (D/N) - Edgbaston : India will bat first / Pakistan will bowl first

6th ODI – New Zealand v England(?) (D/N) - Melbourne : --

Final – TBC v TBC - Johannesburg

*The tosses are what each team would do if they won the toss, the tosses have not been conducted yet.

The coin tosses

Alright, should we have CaptainOZ operate the toss?

I'm at work for a couple more hours. Insomniac, if you like, you can go ahead and do ALL 6 of the coin tosses on your PS3. So for the 1st ODI, pick Pakistan and New Zealand, and complete the coin toss. You'll need to ask Mark what he would choose if he won the toss. But if you win, just make your decision and let him know. If the AI wins, then the AI's decision is followed.

Then quit the match and go back in as India and England and do that coin toss.
ect. ect.

Now, my decision IF I WIN THE TOSS for my three matches are:

2nd ODI – India v England
As India, I would FIELD first.

4th ODI – New Zealand v India
As India, I would BAT first.

5th ODI – Pakistan v India (D/N)
As India, I would BAT first.


Conditions for all matches are: 50 overs, Hard difficulty, minimal HUD.

Just like in real cricket, when the commentator asks the captain who lost the toss "What would you have done if you had won the toss", to which he replies "well, they chose to bat, but that's OK because we would have fielded anyway".
