Indian Premier League - General Discussion

Now we are seeing the real side of him :thumbs

He was asked to bowl to the most destructive bloke against spin in the power play. Narine doesn't really care if he gets out. I wouldn't serve Rashid Khan to him in the power play but Cheatwin had to protect himself. I think it was a very tough call on a bloke making his debut with a huge money bag attached to him!

Nitish Rana's brilliant inning comes to an end and Russel who will come out should destroy the Kings completely. Look at the Roar Russel got.

It's too late for this WC, but the more I see of Rana the more I wonder if he would have been a possible #4 for India. He has had decent enough outings with MI and the past two seasons have also been good. He can definitely accelerate when needed and though I do not think I've seen an innings where he would play the anchor role around the other batsmen, the way he plays and his range of strokes suggest that he might be able to that too.

Ravimankad Cheatwin desperate to finish his quota before Russell comes into bat! And still getting his rear handed to him! :lol:D

Excellent spell that! 4 overs for 47 and he couldn't even get the non striker out this time. "More power to him!"

That's just SAD :facepalm:facepalm[DOUBLEPOST=1553703292][/DOUBLEPOST]Dre Russ killed it again ... but full props to Rana and Robin for that excellent platform. KRR will be very happy with this total

Yes, your opinion is really validating for me. :facepalm

Cheatwin has the worst economy rate inspite of bowling the easiest overs and 3 fielders inside the circle? He completely lost his marbles after that! I really enjoyed that and looks like most cricket fans did!

He can also throw down some handy seam ups!

^ That I did not know. Has he bowled in the IPL?

Again its our perennial problem to get carried away with the performances. Yes he had a good few seasons of the IPL but subsequently failed to repeat that in the domestic seasons for Delhi. So judging a player only from his IPL are a thing of past where a player would just be considered for selection in the national side just on the basis of the IPL and FYI Rana has not been even part of the India A side to even make him eligible for selection anywhere near the national side.
A lot of current Indian tryouts (Pant,Shankar,Khaleel,Siraj,Pandey,Iyer,Agarwal,Vihari,Shaw etc.) were in the 'A' team and their performances were considered before make them play for the national side.

Is Pat Cummins available for the IPL ? Will be a big boast for MI this season considering how well he has bowling lately and currently running away the Pakistani side in the UAE.

Really looking forward to this chase. KXIP have a brilliant batting line up. What's up with Karun Nair?

Fair enough. I was not aware of his domestic form. But mind you, my opinion wasn't based on a couple of matches - rather a period of around 3+ seasons.

And boy, Prasidh consistently bowling around 142+ kmph? Short runup and action doesn't suggest that he could. Wonder if the speed gun is showing the right speeds.
