Indians completely dominate

Sehwag and Gambhir were looking very dangerous as they had settle well and were scoring easily 6-7 runs per over . Pakistan needed a wicket to just stop the flow of the runs or else India were gonna post a huge total to chase . Ifthikar Anjum continued the bowling . He was cut away for four by Gambhir but in the same over Ifthikar got Gambhr out . Gambhir trying to play the same shot by an easy catch by Afridi and Gambhir departed for 35 of 37 balls and India were 72/1 . Yusuf Pathan the debutant came in and he was of the mark with a boundary towards fine leg . Sohail Tanvir continued and first ball he was pulled away for four by Sehwag . But soon Tanvir came back strong an caught Sehwag plumed and Sehwag departed for 32 of 34 balls and India suddenly had lost 2 wickets for just 10 runs . Vice captain Yuvraj Sigh walked in .

Yuvraj Singh was not aggressive as they wanted to develop the partnership . Pakistan were back in the match . The run rate was creeping down slowly . Pakistan were not allowing the Indians from scoring boundaries and Shoaib Malik was rotating his bowlers well . Yuvi and yusuf were rotating the strike and keeping the score board ticking . But finally Umar Gul when he was bought for his second spell got rid of the dangerman and vice captain Yuvraj Singh . Yuvi mistimed a leg glance and he was caught by Afridi at square leg for just 3 of 9 balls and Indians were in spot of bother at 97/3 . But Yusuf Pathan and Rohit Sharma stabilize the innings . Rohit started his innings carefully but as he settled he played his shots and scored 3 boundaries . While Yusuf pathan reached his maiden half century with a six of Fawad Alam . Yusuf continued his form from the IPL and was playing some sensible cricket . He had scored 8 fours and 1 six in his 62 of 62 balls . His 8 boundaries came all over the ground . Rohit and Yusuf both put on an 80 run partnership for the 4th wicket . When the runs were not coming the running between the wicket helped them to keep the scoreboard ticking . While for Pakistan ,Shoaib malik tried his all bowlers but they didnt get the wicket . Pakistan needs a wicket over here or else they were gonna chase a huge total . For Pakistan Shahid Afridi bowled well . Fawad Alam was getting some turn but not wickets . At the end of the 30 overs Indians were well placed at 177/3 and completely dominating the game .

Indians Set a Big Total to Chase​

Yusuf Pathan and Rohit Sharma were playing really sensible cricket in the middle overs . India had a run rate of around 6 per over so they just rotated the strike instead of taking any risk . Rohit and Yusuf were brilliant in running between the wickets as they ran 6-7 runs in each over . Rohit Sharma continued his brilliant form from the IPL and the best shot he played was the four of the back foot of the bowling of Shahid Afridi . The 100 run partnership between the 2 was raised and the crowd gave then a huge applause . Yusuf Pathan slowly and slowly reaching his first ever 100 on his debut . But , he didnt happen as Yusuf tried to hit Afridi for a six instead didnt hit the ball well and was caught by Sohail Tanvir at long off . Finally Afridi has broken the 109 runs partnership Yusuf Pathan departed for 80 of 78 balls and the crowd gave him a standing applause for his splendid innings . Next man was skipper Dhoni . Dhoni was striaght away of the mark with a flip of the pads for 4 of Ifthikar Anjum's bowling . Dhoni was finding a bit difficult to get the runs and give strike to Sharma . Dhoni was getting frustrated as Pakistan bowlers were not giving room to play his shots . And their plan to frustrate Dhoni worked as they saw his back . Dhoni using his feet and trying to go over the top , but got the outside edge and was caught by Tanvir at long off and Fawad Alam got the dangerman for 8 of 13 balls .

Robin Uthappa came in he played some shots which were risky but went for 4 . The best one was the cover drive he played which went between the cover and point fielder for 4 , But Shahid Afridi in his last over bowled Uthappa while playing the slog sweep . Uthappa went for 17 of 15 balls . And the Indians were 261/6 .Last 10 overs and Irfan Pathan and Rohit Sharma were out there . Rohit reached his half century and was appluaded by the Dhaka crowd . It was a great innings played under pressure by young man . Irfan Pathan was maybe told to go after the bowling as he tried to hit everything that was bowled to him . Sharma too got himself in the party when he swept Fawad Alam for a 4 . But later Rohit Sharma was run out due to misunderstading and Sharma departed for a brilliant 65 of 74 balls . Irfan Pathan and Chawla both put on 20 runs for the 8th wicket .Pathan doing the most of the damage as he smashed Anjum for a huge six over long off . But again due to poor running Chawla was run out by a brilliant throw from the deep and Indians were 293/8 . Ishant Sharma and Irfan Pathan took the ones and twos here and there . But Irfan Pathan quickfire innings came to an end when he was caught by Salman Butt at point of Umar Gul's last over . Irfan Pathan departed for 39 of 24 balls . 2 balls later Sreesanth was caught by Younis Khan at the slip and Gul got his 3rd wicket . Irfan Pathan's fireworks at the end help India to set 316 as the target for Pakistan to chase in 50 overs .
