Can somebody post a list of kolpak players in icc 2005...also please mention whether they are good if you have the time...

In Icc 2005, if I remember correctly (my game is so far into the future now that it was a while back :p ) I think Ian Trott and Marcus North are two of the better kolpak players available. Dale Benkenstein at Durham was half decent as well.

I have 2006 but most apply to your version as well a few wont be there and a few will pop up

Anthony Botha - Derbyshire (I have used him and he has averaged around 30 with the ball and always contributes with the bat)

Dale Benkenstein - Durham (Pretty consistant with the bat doesnt go on to maker big scores and his bowling is underrated)

Callum Thorp - Durham (Not much more than a back up bowler)

Andrew Flower - Essex (Quite capable of batting at 3 always capable of 150 not bad for a keeper)

Grant Flower - Essex (Not as consistant as Andy but worthy of a place in most batting line ups)

Ian Harvey - Gloucestershire (Always performs with the ball and can make quick runs on top of it)

Marcus North - Lancashire (Can bat anywhere in the order and get runs)

Andrew Crook - Lancashire (Just a back up player)

Hylton Ackerman - Leicestershire (Good run scorer always seems to be in big partnerships with Mongia)

Claude Henderson - Leicestershire (Anthony Botha without batting ability)

Steven Crook - Northamptonshire (Ive never heard of the Crook boys but this one seems to have a bit of batting skill)

Lance Klusener - Northamptonshire (Enough said)

Matthew Friedlander - Northamptonshire (His stats dont show it but he is a bit of a sleeper player has been pretty good with the ball in my experiences)

Charl Pietersen - Northamptonshire (Squad filler)

Christopher Cairns - Nottinghamshire (See Lance Klusener)

Gregory Smith - Nottinghamshire (Handy third change bowler)

Charl Willoughby - Somerset (Is quite capable of destroying a team is a pretty tight bowler as well the only player in the world that would bat below him is Chris Martin)

Murray Goodwin - Sussex (From my team has 3 centuries and 1 fifty lets just say he scores runs)

Ian Trott - Warwickshire (He is in the Warwickshire batting line up enough said)

Neil Carter - Warwickshire (Handy bowler part of Warwickshires never ending batting line up)

Matthew Mason - Worcestershire (Good bowler to take 2 or 3 wickets an innings rarely dominates)

Raymond Price - Worcestershire (Pretty good with the ball excels in the one day format)

Darren Lehmann - Yorkshire (If there was a kolpak player of the year he would win it always brilliant always dangerous and a major pain in the rear end if hes on the other team can bowl a little as well)

Gerald Brophy - Yorkshire (Capable wicketkeeper-batsmen i have seen him drop a few catches)

Gideon Kruis -Yorkshire (Wins the weirdest name of all the kolpak players award very underrated with the ball but isnt in the bowling line up often because of Matthew Hoggard, Tim Bresnan and Jason Gillespie)

For those who wanna see how good Lehmann is, here's a screenshot of his performance last year.

I play Yorkshire and can vouch for Gerard Brophy's keeping ability. I can't remember the last time he dropped a catch. With the bat he averaged 39 in CC, though not very useful in ODI's coz his batting style is "Very Defensive".

Kruis, i find him useful only in ODIs, can keep runs down.

where did he bat in one dayers

No.3 in both ODIs and CC. And btw, it's in normal mode. I've never had someone scoring that heavily for me.

how did he not get a ton in one dayers whats your openers stats

Yeah, it's quite weird he has no 100's in ODIs, but that's the way it turned out...I'd take those runs anyday though, doesen't matter if he doesen't score any tons.

But again, i have a strong batting lineup apart from him. My openers in Tests are Joseph Sayers (a 22 year old defensive batsman) and Matthew Wood.

In ODI's its Wood with Michael Lumb (not classified as an opener), but he is a very good opening bat in the ODIs, with his Very Aggressive style. Bats @ 5 or 6 in Tests. Throw in Michael Vaughan, and it's hard to believe the batting riches ;)

A good kolpak is definately Marcus North. Also bowls well too.
yeh his offies are underrated i forgot about that

Yup, North is a class act. Seems to score 'em so effortlessly. I hope i get him next season, what a fab batting lineup mine would be (without a single overseas batsman!). Moreover dunno how long Lehmann is gonna stay, already 37. Currently have Ian Blackwell, Lance Klusener and James Dalrymple in the reserves.

Looks like i was lucky to get him as a Kolpak, thought he was a Kolpak much earlier. Nice to afford him and the others with the moolah i raked in with CC, CT and 20-20 title victories! BTW does an overseas player turn Kolpak randomly in the game?
