Gony? We need him in the Champion's league!

Cricinfo said:Mohammad Asif has been confirmed as the player who tested positive for a banned substance during the Indian Premier League, the IPL has announced.
Asif, who was detained in Dubai for possession of contraband drugs last month, will now have the right to request that his 'B' sample [supplied at the same time as the one that tested positive] be sent for analysis, which he and his representative can attend along with an IPL representative.
How many times does that honestly happen?Let's not throw the book at him yet until the B sample comes back positive.
I am going to admit a few things here.
Mohammad Asif in my mind when he came onto the scene in 2005/06 could have put Pakistan on the road to win many tournaments. He was a promising young bowler who could take Pakistan cricket to great heights.
I do not think that Mohammad Asif is necessarily a bad person, but rather, he is just ignorant and stupid. This will not be his 3rd offence as the Dubai International Airport case and this one will probably be merged into one.
In my view, Mohammad Asif should be banned from every Organized form of cricket there is. You can't really stop him from playing in his backyard, but I speak about banning him for 5 years at the club, first-class, and international levels.
He needs to go through a rehabilitation program at his own expenses for the next 5 years, and if he is capable of keeping himself fit for 5 years and is capable of bowling well enough to bring himself into the XI only then, should he come back into the team.
The other point to bring up is that all centrally contracted players should be required to undergo a drug test every month or 2 months.
