Pakistan Players Will Not Feature in IPL 2010

There was one event that actually went through. India XI vs Pak XI. It was in the Astrodome, have a few friends from my team who went. I think it was either 2003 or 2004.

I have read it on geo that four players are at the moment allowed to IPL.

New players who have not played IPL before are most likely going to be put in the auction when it starts. So Pakistan players have a very good chance of playing the IPL now.

Imagine how hard done Sohail Tanvir must feel. He was the leading wicket taker of IPL 1 and they only paid him 100k, he thought he was going to get a massive raise for season 2 but was not allowed to play. Now by the time season 3 rolls around he is not even in the international scene and from what I can gather not even doing well domestically. Doubt anyone will take him now and he sure as hell wont be getting a massive contract with guys like Aamir, Parnell and some Aussie quicks unsigned

Agreed with Marky there. Its tough being an international cricketer down with injury. And its particularly difficult in the subcontinent, where there are 4 players at any given time vying to fill one spot.

Well we need an opener, but we have Akmal in the team already and I want Akmal to play.

Nazir is a T20 specialist. Akmal can be good in patches. Also, Akmal isn't playing this year (correct me if I'm wrong) as he was a player with a suspended contract and he was supposed to submit his papers before the most recent deadline.

Nazir can still be bought though. And I hope out of hope that the people out there stop fighting each other and help their players instead. Will be great to see them back in the IPL

I dont know why people are still interested in IPL? Whats the benefit of IPL? I was also interested in it in the first year only becoz i wanted to see youngsters playing alongside international players. But what are we seeing trundlers like Vinay Kumar, Lakshmi Ratan Shukla, Harmeet Singh , Agarkar playing alongside Pietersen, Ponting and Mcgrath? :laugh Either play all the under 19 cricketers with these experienced players rather than these tried and tested indian players at the international level or stop this drama. Had enough of it. :
